  1. What a great model! I’ve recently bought the New Airfix P40……… Chris.
  2. I’ve had a good study of their website and facebook pages, they are related in some way to Jade. But it looks as though Tumult do make their own models and masters for others, all their kits including the Gordini show their name on the box and baseplate. I’m concluding that they made the master for the Renaissance models Gordini. I should buy at least one of their kits now! Chris.
  3. I put this in the rumourmonger section, but I suppose more car people would see it here. I had a pleasant e mail from the maker who’s called Princess of Tumult, they make exquisite 1/43 resin kits and this is the latest one. It’s a Connaught sportscar,I was unaware of this car’s existence till just now. They can be seen on Scalemates too. Chris.
  4. I think that’s really nice,SRC kits are, were very good. I like the removable bodywork,I had one of these kits until Colin Fraser gave me his one of his built Tameo cars, I couldn’t be bothered to build mine then and sold it.I think It would look good to have both models now! I think the stripes colour was called biscuit or oatmeal,I can’t remember now…… A great model there! Chris.
  5. I received an e mail the other day about this new kit. It’s from Princess of Tumult, yes that is their name ! I assume it’s a one man band? And they are on Scalemates,I must admit their models look exquisite. Below is the picture of the completed model,I was unaware of this car until now! Chris.
  6. Thanks everyone,I have sort of decided to concentrate on Lotus and Jaguar race cars but it’s flexible- also includes any car with a number on the side! P.S. The next one’s a BMW. Chris.
  7. It looks so just right, the shape’s perfect and I agree about the not so shiny paint,it’s more fitting for a fifties car.Very nice! Chris.
  8. My latest little completed kit,it’s by Tameo,I’ve got the famous black car already. I had to use the clamp shown(a good purchase from Wilco!) to stop the photo etch suspension from springing apart whist glueing. The wheel also fell off during a pit stop, but has now been safely replaced! The other kit is Jim Clark and his Indy 500 winning Lotus 38 I built a long time ago,it’s an SMTS kit. Hope you like,Chris. P.S. it’s Carlos Reutemann’s car that’s why it’s probably lesser spotted as a model.
  9. As all of the above have said,I love the patina and the Gulf blue paintwork. Chris.
  10. Really really nice, and one of the best looking Ferrari cars. Chris.
  11. I love this model, and I think it’s just perfect! I happened to look at this while watching the first Indycar race of the year this evening. Well done and welcome along. Chris.
  12. Excellent model, looks very smart indeed. I’m interested in the b7000 glue, can you recommend this stuff? I’m always on the look out for new glues to try out.Chris.
  13. Thanks very much for that, I need to fondle the bits again too! Chris.
  14. I’ve also had a C1 kit delivered,it’s the MGC ,the one made famous on here! It’s beautifully made but has no instructions,I don’t know if it supposed to or not. Mine took a few weeks to arrive but I was told about this. Do they make them to order? Or print? Very happy to get this transkit. Chris.
  15. A bit of a cheat as these aren’t road cars, but the black one’s a bit topical for this forum. Seen at Race Retro on Friday, where the auction was so I could see some of those auction cars.
  16. I’ve never seen one in the flesh, mostly only in the Grand Prix Models magazine FSW. I think one of the the best ever kits I’ve seen on here was Sabrejet’s 1/43 Martini Porsche, the kits are obviously very high quality but reading other forums there are conflicting complaints about the fit of their larger kits. 1/12 and 1/24. Chris.
  17. I have the same model from years ago,I must say yours is definitely superior to mine! I also bothered about the leather straps but never did anything about it… I’ve taken note now of your idea,I might even do that today, Chris.
  18. Nice to see a 1/43 build,it’s a very accurate kit apparently. Chris.
  19. That’s a very nice well built model there! And it looks like a very accurate kit,I think P .Cornu went to Renaissance. Chris.
  20. Help! I have a prime example here from my drawer of doom. A Starter kit,but in another company’s box,AMC. It has Cartograf decals which keep falling apart after quite a few applications of decal film. And no one makes a replacement decal sheet either! Think I will try the Mr Hobby clear though,I didn’t know that was an option, thanks Sabrejet for this info.Chris.
  21. They’re very good,I have used them more than once.I’ve used 1/43 and 1/24 ones,I’m thinking of the Cunningham Jaguar D type although I think the bigger blue decal stripes weren’t quite long enough! But the decals do perform perfectly and do what they’re told. Chris. What models do you have? Older Starter decals will fall apart but Cartograf decals can still be ok to use after a long time.
  22. An excellent model, and beautifully made too. I still have a couple of Hi Fi kits too,it’s very nice to see some more 1/43 kits on here. Chris.
  23. Just a very small update on a very small model… Breaking out the photo etch, seatbelts, cockpit now completed. Starting the gearbox assembly which is far from complete and will be completely hidden under the rear end of the car! Final pic is trying out the front suspension, which isn’t too bad,but you need to get everything lined up perfectly for it to fit, seems ok so far,Chris.
