Thanks everyone for some nice comments! I've also made the hippie car and the Pink Pig 917L. But have still got another two 917L kits to complete one day.Chris.
-
Nice job! Never seen this version either, the front is a bit ugly to be honest. Chris.
-
A very nice build! I particularly liked the engine/suspension area, what did you use for the chrome? Chris.

Marsh models kit, along with Jackie Oliver's autograph- very faded now! Still the fastest lap at Le Mans ever (I think) in this car. Postcard from Le Mans too. Was tempted to put this in the general discussion area,in the 917 thread,

but it is a model completion after all.chris.

I think I agree! I much preferred Mark Webber,I even have his Revell 1/24 kit. Obviously I haven't made it as yet...I also think Alonso is vastly overrated too, well in the last few years anyway. Vetell's replacement won't now be Nico Hulkenberg either.wonder what happens now? Chris.

This has definitely been coming! I have been watching the Netflix series of last years races, much more entertaining than just the normal Sunday afternoon watch which can get fairly dull.
-
Thanks, that looks like the 1993 car. They don't just have Indy cars on display there then? Chris.
-
Thanks,I still have a Wave Lotus 79,Jordan 191 and a Ferrari 641 to do.
-
Welcome aboard, there have been a few of us new ones in the car section lately. I am missing my Goodwood trips already, but still hoping to get to the Goodwood Revival if possible. This is a very friendly forum here, there's something new every day!

Thanks all,I bought 3 Wave resin kits years ago, this started my collection of 1/24 F1 kits. I don't know when they stopped I suppose about 1994? They re quite solid lumps and there is no engine.I managed to replace most of the decals, but most replacements are for 1/20 scale.Decals remind me of old Hasegawa, white is creamy and they're not that good...Hi Bengalensis do you have a spare Wave 1981 or 82 Ferrari by any chance? Thanks Chris.
-
What he said! I must go and buy one of these now, that's an IMSA car,is there a Le Mans decal option too ? Chris.

Hi everyone, hope you like my 2 Benettons - the bigger one is a Wave 1/24 resin kit and it took me about 9 months to make! Now happy with it,is a car from the 1992 season, unsure which race as they changed colour schemes non stop then. The smaller one is 1/43,a metal kit from Racing 43. This Is from 1991 the Canadian GP,hence the Camel Course decals.

Hi,you definitely need to look at ipmsairrace.org I hope this works for you. It's a special interest group of IPMS,I had studied this group before I joined IPMS so you should be able to visit the site ok. I did even get a small magazine from them a long time ago! If you are interested in 1/72 loook at Dekno resin kits, I also got myself at Telford last year the SBS 1/72 Caudron C450. They are small! Good luck,Chris.

I'm sure all the CMR models are 1/18 scale. They certainly are cheap,I would search for any aftermarket detail sets as well.
Chris.

An excellent model, and extremely well built.

Hi and welcome,I'm also from Kent and fairly new. I think I'm on the next page! Also interested in ww2 and Cold War aircraft.

I looked up the Renaissance decals and it states for the blue- FS35056,Humbrol 25,RAL 5017. So that's French blue then! Chris.

This model is beautiful! I wanted to buy the Heller kit,but wasnt sure about the yellow one. Blue is the right colour for me now,a little beauty...Chris.
