  1. I love those interior details! You'll have to leave the doors open you know. Chris.
  2. Cheers Rab,I would love one of those myself,I should have bought one years ago..Chris.
  3. This is all very true Keith,I should have taken a picture of the parts. There aren't that many to be honest,it's the plastic kits that scare me! Chris.
  4. Thanks for the comments, all positive so far! John, not sure about panel lines as I'm used to 1/43 and they can look too much.i did run black paint into the vents dotted about though. My nightmare is the windows, they are flat vacform and you glue the photo etch frames to the vacform, then bend and glue to the body with no glue or goo showing..And getting them to stick, that's as long as they fit the gap accurately too. If your FPM kit is a roadcar, they will be the same..........the model in the advert is too dark for a 50's Ferrari methinks. Chris.
  5. Nick,I will se if I have any pictures of this car, there must have been multiple layouts for this engine I would have thought. It must also be very close in detail to the 1976 car of which there will be a lot more info. Don't hold your breath though! Chris.
  6. Looks very good! I might have to get me one now.. Chris.
  7. My latest completion, twice the size of my normal 43rds...It's an MG Models Ferrari 375MM Berlinetta,a curbside resin, quite a solid thing. I think anybody could recognise this red car as a Ferrari! It's anothe car that was raced by a certain Mike Hawthorn,he did drive a lot of different cars in his time. This car won the Spa 24 hrs.race in 1953,that race is another one that has been going for a few years now. Chris. While I was looking for pictures of the real car,I found this ad for the same built MG kit as mine,it's very cheap! See below.
  8. I like it very much,in one of the best colour schemes too. Chris.
  9. Spotted in the Tesco Gatwick airport car park earlier today,in extremely good condition.
  10. You're right about Gilles Villeneuve my hero, your model looks very good - and it's better with the chrome removed! I also saw Gilles in this car at the Brands Hatch Race of Champions which I believe he won. Like an idiot I never took a camera that day. Chris.
  11. Go for it! As an F1 modeller and a Lotus fan, would be nice to see this one made. Chris.
  12. Beautiful! I can't believe the detail in this kit,at both ends! Chris.
  13. Very nice model Trevor, turned out very well, the Sunoco scheme is a good one..Chris.
  14. It's outstanding! And it's a really good idea,a museum piece. Chris.
  15. Lovely picture of the Elite, one of my favourite cars. 3 more pictures of Jim Clark below from the same event,RAC Rrally 1966. I cycled there, a Heathrow Airport hotel and it was freezing! Hope you like,Chris.
  16. Beautiful result there Rab,you now need a 'complete' car to put next to the one on display in the pit lane! Hope you don't mind me adding a Jim Clark picture that I took a long long time ago..1966 RAC Rally, before the off. Chris.
  17. Thanks Pat Rab and Trevor, and no little borrowers were were hurt during the making of this kit! Yes,Gemini are definitely worth a look at for 1/43 kits etc.makes a change from eBay.......Chris.
  18. Great progress,I love sportscar racing and all the models.. Your pictures look like the cover of the Grand Prix Models magazine- Four small Wheels! The Horbra kit sounds good too. Chris.
  19. Hi Rab,it's Maydero, they are linked with Remember and MG kits in Italy. I've made one or two and I'm very impressed with this kit,no problems going together, has decent detail, resin body and the rest is metal. It's just no fuss, like a Racing 43. The only place you see them is on Etsy,Gemini modelcars. There's a 935 and others too. My kit has aftermarket decals by the way. Chris.
  20. Small but all very perfectly formed! Including the engine of course,I doubt if we will ever see and hear a one and a half litre V12 engine anymore.Chris
  21. Just one car today,my phone has told me my storage is more or less full and found these pictures from the early part of lockdown. its a resin and metal Porsche 934 from 1978 made from a Maydero kit,its the best kit I reckon of a 934 in the small scale anyway! I call it an art car,it has the Wrangler jeans stitching all over it....thinking of doing in 1/24 now. Hope you like. Chris.
  22. What everyone else said! It really does look real, that car is really stunning. Chris.
  23. I could do this,I have a 1/43 resin kit of an IMSA GTO Mustang racecar if that's ok.The kit is made in the U.S.A too. Group builds have a long leadtime to start from what I've seen, not done yet myself...I think I have a Bullit Mustang too but after a quick look l can't find it yet.Chris.
  24. I have a soft spot for the Arrows team, they managed a couple of 2nd.places,but never actually won a Grand Prix. Damon Hill was the nearest I believe in 1997,but the car stuttered on the last lap of the Hungarian Grand Prix. ive managed to complete the decals for the body apart from the fiddly bit of black round its nose.Am also starting on the same car but in white, pictures below I hope of all the parts, there are a lot! Think that's enough for now! Chris.
  25. Yes,Marsh Models are very much still in action. Sign up for their news e mail,I got one last week of their latest 1/32 airplane kit. Their newest car release is the Gilles Villeneuve Can Am Wolf Dallara, and I'm sorely tempted by this one! Before that they have made a raft of Ferrari 330P4 and Ferrari 312P the open cars of 170/71. I agree about their website,it's very out of date but John Simons is still going strong. Chris.
