  1. So many variations on a 917! I also prefer the orange one. 2 Very decent models there. Chris.
  2. I bought this the other day and when I paid for it it was the normal price! From WHS,this magazine a paper and a lottery ticket added up to £7 something. Chris.
  3. Stunning! Cutting the roof from a Piranha kit is very brave but it's a good way of showing the interior off. A lovely paint job that suits the car too. Chris.
  4. It's really very good, and it's got patina, agree about the Molotov pen- couldn't live without one or two. I also have an open car,an MG TF,but it's a 2005,quite like MGs! Chris.
  5. Thanks Trevor,Spiny,Swralph and Keith for all liking. Yes I agree about the sponsorship - its only missing a Durex sticker! The Gold I used is Tamiya aerosol TS21 gold,I tried 3 different colours before this, none of them were suitable. The real colour is supposed to be VW Hellas gold,I failed miserably there but the TS21 is ideal now. Oh and Mr Hobby clear gloss.the car looks better now I added the mirrors and p.e. wheel nuts I had omitted ........sorry for a slow reply, been looking for the spraycan! Chris
  6. Another Arrows F1 car here for your inspection, in my own little Arrows Team group build! A pleasure to put together and very precise fit but a good mix of photo etch, resin and metal. Hope you like,Chris. Up the ars* corner, now I notice the wing support is a bit wonky. The white Varig car should be the next completion, but not this year... Chris.
  7. Great stuff! Lots to like there- Stratos,MG Metro 6R4,my favourite is the Lister Bristol. Chris.
  8. This is right up my street,I much prefer this era of race cars - it's very nice! Chris.
  9. I swear I have seen that actual car on the road! The wheels and the colour are just very right for that car. A beautiful paint job.Chris.
  10. A really nice engine Nick. All I do is stick together curbside stuff compared to all this miniature engineering ! Loving the Lotus by the way. Chris.
  11. I like this very much too! A really good looking car. I have a 1/43 one buried somewhere, unbuilt of course. Chris.
  12. Oh that's big boys vacforming then! Here you go,under parts obviously! https://indycals.net/ Good luck,Chris.
  13. Thanks for all your nice comments! Tenariv kits were seen as a bit simple, but to be honest I liked them, and I still have a Tameo Yardley M23 where the nose comes off in 1/43. Trevor I think the James Hunt car decals were fine,I just had bad luck? Chris.
  14. I know that you can buy the translucent brake ducts from Indycals, all four of them. i can recommend their decals, not bought any bits from them though. Chris.
  15. Hi,to me this is model engineering! Another level. Chris.
  16. 1983 Le Mans, looking very nice! I hope the rear wing isn't glued in place by the way. Chris.
  17. Excellent work there Nick! I love Lotus cars so I'm studying your 79 carefully. I have a 1/24 one to complete in my drawer of doom still.......The dash area is very very nice! Chris.
  18. This is outstanding work, another one one of my favourite race cars! Chris.
  19. Here are two more small F1 cars, the one without the driver I've just finished, but it's taken me forever! They are both Tenariv kits with resin bodies and base, the rest of the kit is twisted small bits of metal. The decals were extremely painful, the kit ones fell apart even with decal film so I thought that's ok,I can get brand new high class Tameo decals. They were even worse and just more or less fell apart completely.i wouldn't mind but there Is an extremely thin black line edging all the red, some is missing after all my efforts! Another one in my own Champions series, both on BBR bases. Emerson Fittipaldi,1974 and our own James Hunt world champion 1976. Note the interesting instructions included......More little ones to follow on hopefully! Chris.
  20. Wow that's really impressive! Never seen one these MFH kits in detail before, very nice to see the result.Looks like it all goes together pretty well too. Chris.
  21. Nice to see a 1/43 roadcar,it's a very nice paint job. I love the base too! Chris.
  22. Thanks Steve and Rab,all appreciated! Keep the 1-43 stuff coming,Jags especially?! Chris.
  23. It's very neat, a classic car and driver, what's not to like! Chris.
  24. Really very nice Trevor! I like the wheels,an improvement on the Starter wheels and the colour looks good too. I have exactly the same car but the Marsh Models one.Chris.
  25. That's your car and number plate?! I didn't know Heller made this, the colour is spot on,it's very nice,Chris.
