  1. Excellent work there Nick! I love Lotus cars so I'm studying your 79 carefully. I have a 1/24 one to complete in my drawer of doom still.......The dash area is very very nice! Chris.
  2. This is outstanding work, another one one of my favourite race cars! Chris.
  3. Here are two more small F1 cars, the one without the driver I've just finished, but it's taken me forever! They are both Tenariv kits with resin bodies and base, the rest of the kit is twisted small bits of metal. The decals were extremely painful, the kit ones fell apart even with decal film so I thought that's ok,I can get brand new high class Tameo decals. They were even worse and just more or less fell apart completely.i wouldn't mind but there Is an extremely thin black line edging all the red, some is missing after all my efforts! Another one in my own Champions series, both on BBR bases. Emerson Fittipaldi,1974 and our own James Hunt world champion 1976. Note the interesting instructions included......More little ones to follow on hopefully! Chris.
  4. Wow that's really impressive! Never seen one these MFH kits in detail before, very nice to see the result.Looks like it all goes together pretty well too. Chris.
  5. What a great race! George Russell was all set to win,he could get another chance next week? Well done to Sergio Perez,he could also get another chance, there is another Grand Prix next week,Chris..
  6. Nice to see a 1/43 roadcar,it's a very nice paint job. I love the base too! Chris.
  7. That was a very interesting race,I enjoyed that one. Slightly off topic now - did anyone watch the Macau GP on Eurosport? It wasn't a Grand Prix but GT race,F4 race and 2 touring car races. Rob Huff was in the race in a Chinese MG but it was in the same colours as the British touring car series from about 2004! The green and grey and the X Power logos! Will definitely be watching the F2 race from 12. Chris.
  8. Good news for George Russell,he definitely deserves it. I've also just read that Mick Schumacher (Michael's son) is driving for Haas in place of Romain Grosjean, and brit Jack Aitken is driving for Williams. He's an F2 racer at the moment. Chris.
  9. Thanks Steve and Rab,all appreciated! Keep the 1-43 stuff coming,Jags especially?! Chris.
  10. It's very neat, a classic car and driver, what's not to like! Chris.
  11. Really very nice Trevor! I like the wheels,an improvement on the Starter wheels and the colour looks good too. I have exactly the same car but the Marsh Models one.Chris.
  12. That's your car and number plate?! I didn't know Heller made this, the colour is spot on,it's very nice,Chris.
  13. I agree with both of the above! I think that's about one of the best I've ever seen. Chris.
  14. Thanks for your good comments Vesa, swralph,Trevor and Houston! I found another one -Jaguar XJR11 Turbo in more familiar non Silk Cut livery from the Brands Hatch 1000kms.race of 1989. This is I think this was the cars debut.Oh it's a Provence Moulage resin kit,it's quite a bit lighter than the Starter kit but they are both identical in size. Hope you like this one too. Chris.
  15. An extremely small update for a quite small couple of 1/43 kits. The first one is now in the completed section,so I can now finish off the Arrows A3 of 1980. Picture below of the photo etch for the tub inside and the suspension. Tried out the tub part last week (the etch floor) and couldn't quite figure it out,so trying again now....Chris.
  16. Hi all, more 1/43 to stuff to look at! This was a broken built kit,I thought I would just repair and redecal this but in the end I stripped it off and started all over again. Tameo kits now make this also and they sell the decals separately, the body is Tamiya Gold after testing about 3 other colours first. The body is resin, the body sides are photo etch, and the rest is white metal. Hope you enjoy anyway,Chris.
  17. Hi everyone, here below are two a bit out of the ordinary competition Jaguars. The white one is built from a fairly old Provence Moulage kit in lockdown,Jaguar E2A from the Le Mans race of 1960. It is what it looks like a bit of a cross between a D type and E type Jag. Entered by the Cunningham team and driven by Dan Gurney and Walt Hansgen,it didn't finish the race. I think the car was built to test out the independent rear suspension layout that was introduced on the E type Jaguar. The other sleek green car is a Jaguar XJR11 Turbo from the Japanese Sportscar series of 1991. A Starter resin kit,no cats were hurt by having the cats whiskers used as aerials! Chris.
  18. I'm sure he is also involved in the fairly new Iron Cross magazine which is I think a decent quality magazine. Check it out in WHS,most of which are still open at the moment! Chris.
  19. Great stuff Nick,a lot of scratchbuiding that all needs lining up. I avidly watch the Dakar race every year, its the nearest type of race I can think of.And Is there still a Baja race? Chris.
  20. Looking very good! There's a lot of detail packed into this kit,no aftermarket stuff needed. Even includes a wheelbrace.Chris.
  21. There's a lot of impressive real modelling going on here I must say! Chris.
  22. Nice pictures of a true hero! Chris.
  23. Oops! You're right,1986, i didn't fact check very well,I have one or two McLaren pictures too.Chris.
  24. I like this a lot! For the same reason,to put next to 1/72 aircraft. Ditto with the fiddly stuff.
