  1. Morning Paul,I have now just answered in the free to a good home section- Chris.
  2. Wow! Both engines and the Lotus are beautiful to look at,you're detailing is superb. I have made the Hasegawa Lotus 79 for someone else and I remember reading that it was superior to the Tamiya version. Can't remember where or how now obviously. Have a happy new year Nick from Chris.
  3. Happy new year to you too Keith! And to everyone else reading wherever you are. I'll try very very hard to show some more models this year, did I say I like Jaguar cars ? and Lotus and Lancia and Ferrari etc etc..... Maurice, yes I have lusted after the Profil 24 D types, and yes there is a short nose car,but not one without the tailfin. I do have 4 Provence Moulage 1/24 D type kits, but they are curbside only. Thanks Chris.
  4. Have just finished this one,a 1950's Merit kit. As far as I know this is the only 1/24 kit ever of a short nose D Type Jag. It's a good shape I think,I had to glue the top and bottom halves together and then fill in the join after making a complete new dashboard with a 4 spoke steering wheel as per Mike Hawthorn's cars. Also had to fit the rear wheels first, the wheels were replaced by some resin wheels from a Lister kit made by Roaring Replicas. Then had trouble with the paint as I used Tamiya primer and then a PPG version of British Racing Green. These two didn't exactly see eye to eye and I ended up starting all over again! Some of the paint job has some digs in it now....hope you like! Now for 3 1/43 D types- The dark blue metallic one is the Le Mans 1957 winner of the Ecurie Ecosse team, the light blue car is the 3rd.place car from Le Mans 1957,the Los Amigos team. Both Provence Moulage resin kits. The BRG car is an SMTS metal kit,the first Jaguar D type race winner in 1954. Hope you like these too,+ Happy new year to everyone! Chris.
  5. Really nice! I'm a Jag lover but I prefer this little kit over the XJS,love the colour and the real car. Chris.
  6. It's very nice,nothing beats a colourful Ferrari! Chris.
  7. Very nice and looking good-these are the sort of kits I make. It looks exactly like a a Wave resin kit, they do one in 1/24. The Camel decals are black? They should be blue but they easy to replace separately.
  8. A lovely model Trevor,I don't remember seeing this version,+ it's nice to see a non orange McLaren!
  9. The SMTS Cobra is long out of production, they should re release it. I nearly bought one the other year and then found out that some of it was missing! Chris
  10. So many variations on a 917! I also prefer the orange one. 2 Very decent models there. Chris.
  11. I bought this the other day and when I paid for it it was the normal price! From WHS,this magazine a paper and a lottery ticket added up to £7 something. Chris.
  12. Stunning! Cutting the roof from a Piranha kit is very brave but it's a good way of showing the interior off. A lovely paint job that suits the car too. Chris.
  13. It's really very good, and it's got patina, agree about the Molotov pen- couldn't live without one or two. I also have an open car,an MG TF,but it's a 2005,quite like MGs! Chris.
  14. Thanks Trevor,Spiny,Swralph and Keith for all liking. Yes I agree about the sponsorship - its only missing a Durex sticker! The Gold I used is Tamiya aerosol TS21 gold,I tried 3 different colours before this, none of them were suitable. The real colour is supposed to be VW Hellas gold,I failed miserably there but the TS21 is ideal now. Oh and Mr Hobby clear gloss.the car looks better now I added the mirrors and p.e. wheel nuts I had omitted ........sorry for a slow reply, been looking for the spraycan! Chris
  15. Another Arrows F1 car here for your inspection, in my own little Arrows Team group build! A pleasure to put together and very precise fit but a good mix of photo etch, resin and metal. Hope you like,Chris. Up the ars* corner, now I notice the wing support is a bit wonky. The white Varig car should be the next completion, but not this year... Chris.
  16. Great stuff! Lots to like there- Stratos,MG Metro 6R4,my favourite is the Lister Bristol. Chris.
  17. This is right up my street,I much prefer this era of race cars - it's very nice! Chris.
  18. I swear I have seen that actual car on the road! The wheels and the colour are just very right for that car. A beautiful paint job.Chris.
  19. A really nice engine Nick. All I do is stick together curbside stuff compared to all this miniature engineering ! Loving the Lotus by the way. Chris.
  20. I like this very much too! A really good looking car. I have a 1/43 one buried somewhere, unbuilt of course. Chris.
  21. Oh that's big boys vacforming then! Here you go,under parts obviously! https://indycals.net/ Good luck,Chris.
  22. Thanks for all your nice comments! Tenariv kits were seen as a bit simple, but to be honest I liked them, and I still have a Tameo Yardley M23 where the nose comes off in 1/43. Trevor I think the James Hunt car decals were fine,I just had bad luck? Chris.
  23. I know that you can buy the translucent brake ducts from Indycals, all four of them. i can recommend their decals, not bought any bits from them though. Chris.
  24. Hi,to me this is model engineering! Another level. Chris.
  25. 1983 Le Mans, looking very nice! I hope the rear wing isn't glued in place by the way. Chris.
