Will anyone be watching the Grand Prix today? I will be out enjoying myself,so not able to watch it live. Must remember not to inadvertently listen or watch any news in the meantime! Chris.
-
I did see this Steve,I love your diorama and the idea of these small dioramas myself but just never seem to get that far,too busy trying to just complete the kits! That Merc is a real beast, the PM kits are good but I would imagine there's no rollcage? Chris oops! Just realised it's not your build Steve,I just assumed it was yours......... So the groupbuild section stays self contained then? No crossovers? Chris(who hasn't done a groupbuild just yet)

I am a free man! Love this Prisoner model 7 and I always wanted the car, still not got one! Chris.

Thanks Keith and everyone else, two shades of British Racing Green there apart from the Ferrari of course! Chris.

The iconic red London double decker
Kitkent replied to Einar's topic in Ready For Inspection - Vehicles
This bus has come out really well! I've seen so many of the real thing and it matches up to my eyes. On a personal note my dad was a London black taxi driver and we lived not that far away from the A.E.C factory where these were made. Shame about the no.15 route too but I have to say that the current mayor is definitely not a bus or heritage fan, whereas Boris Johnson was! Chris. -
Hi, 3 more cars that were driven by Mike Hawthorn, the 1958 F1 world champion. The single seater is a British Connaught A type,Mike won a Formula 2 race in this car in 1952, only 50 kits were made in white metal by Historic Replicas, now you can still buy this as a kit by K and R Replicas. The D Type I should have made years ago,it's a Provence Moulage resin kit of the famous/infamous 1955 Le Mans winning car. Now I realise I haven't quite finished all the small details, like bonnet straps etc. Oh and one extra, a conversion from a Ferrari road car,Ferrari 375MM. The model was ready made,I think by Italian company Top Model. Added decals and more details to represent Mike's car from the Le Mans race of 1953. Hope you like! Chris.

Nice! I've been looking at doing one of these too,I'm sure I read that it's to be re - released this year. Chris.

This isn't looking very smart now,it's nice to see a model of this car. Chris.

I like all of these too! The short tail 956/962 is definitely a classic car.i also did all the Vitesse cars, how I learnt to do decals! Welcome to the forum,Chris.

Most definitely looks like the real thing. Love the weathering,it's just perfect as in the pictures from the race. I can't get over the no glue etc. it works very well obviously! Chris. -
1/43 Felday 4 - BRM, Jim Clark, Brands Hatch 1966
Kitkent replied to klubman01's topic in Ready For Inspection - Vehicles
This is a snap taken at the start of the RAC rally 1966. In a hotel car park just outside Heathrow airport. I took a picture of the picture with my phone,so it's not very high quality here! I was also at the six hrs.race at Brands Hatch in 1968 and everyone heard that Jimmy had died. He was supposed to be driving the Ford F3L prototype at Brands instead of being at the F2 race. Chris. -
Very nice to see a normal car made from a rally car. My dad had exactly this car, except it may have been a powerful 1.3! Chris.

This is a fantastic piece of modelling,no Felday kit so make your own! Very very impressive stuff Trevor. Jim Clark has come out well too,you must be a real Clark fan then? Chris. -

It's very nice, and well made. Is this the car that nearly won Le Mans in 1990? Chris. -
Mercedes W154, German GP '38
Kitkent replied to Bengalensis's topic in Ready For Inspection - Vehicles
Stunning again! FPPM models are great,I've only made one myself and it was nothing like your one though! As far as I know Dick Seaman only drove for German teams, some of those cars had the swastlika in a red band on the back of the car.Chris. -

Kitkent replied to Mjwomack's topic in Anything But Injection GB
Looking good so far but MA kits are a bit rough round the edges! I've only just recently come across group builds but I have displayed this very same car in the vehicle section. Mines an old 1/43 metal Meri kit in the ready for inspection a little while ago. Good luck with this one.Chris.- 28 replies

Looking very good so far,I hope the blue and the white bodywork is in two separate pieces! -
Absolutely stunning all round Jorgen! I love it. Chris.
-
That's a very neat model,I do remember these cars,and it's better than a Renault 20! Chris.

A great model,it's a fairly new release kit which is unusual for a 1/43 these days! The paint is excellent but I still think it's Midnight blue, but to be honest not a lot of difference. And of course Gilles, everyone's favourite driver. Chris.
