  1. Sounds familiar Gary,I spent nearly two hours in my library this morning having a sort out ( in the loft in other words) lucky it was only about 29 degrees in new money! Chris.
  2. Looking very smart already! I've never heard of the Sol R masking fluid,I'm now going to get some for myself. Thanks! Chris.
  3. Do you have pictures of the real car? If you have then try to match that colour,as everyone says Marlboro red / orange is definitely variable! This is the problem I always have and have built up a large library of old magazine picturese etc.this can be more interesting than the actual modelling sometimes too! Chris.
  4. The F1 and F3 cars were the orangey day glo at the time, that spraycan is definitely for those cars. Not sure about the rally cars though. You need pictures of the real thing,as many as possible! Chris.
  5. Looks lovely! I've never heard of the Ginger Ale Colour,is that a current one? All cars these days seem to be just black or grey. The BBS wheels I think do suit the car, they are of the time period. Chris.
  6. A really well done model,it's good to see slightly different cars now being made as kits. Chris.
  7. The interiors are looking very smart -they are both open cars and on display. Chris.
  8. Very very nice model! The transverse engine is a V12 but it's only a 1500cc capacity,so quite small. A complicated but very compact engine. Chris.
  9. Thanks! The Ferrari is one of my favourites, the wheels on the Gebhardt were sprayed with a new to me Tamiya Metallic Silver TS83 which costs about £13. I’m actually very pleased with it. I have built the 86 car Trevor for someone else, but I like the Labatts livery more. Chris.
  10. Hi,just showing another (very old) stash completion and a more regular Ferrari BB512 Boxer, definitely not a regular roadcar type Boxer though. The blue car is a Gebhardt JC853 that ran in the lower prototype C2 class in 1985,but still had a Cosworth DFV engine in the back. This has to be one of the flattest cars to have ever raced there! The red car is a Ferrari Boxer B512 as raced at Le Mans in 1984,Ferrarelle is a sparkling water drink,so there are bubbles all over this car. Both are resin kits,Provence Moulage for the blue one and the red car is a kit from SHMR. Neither of these cars did very well but the Gebhardt cars did have some success on the track. Hope you like them anyway- Chris.
  11. Those 2 vans or trucks are very attractive, we used to have the ‘hood greengrocer you spoke about earlier in the U.K.too,and yes recycling is nothing new! Chris.
  12. Excellent D Type! I'm jealous as I haven't got this one! Very well built - Chris.
  13. Land Rover or Range Rover? what a contrast- or choice?! Chris.
  14. A birthday present for me- purchased from the Bay of E for £73. I always wanted a Lotus Elite, but a real one, still no such luck yet....Anyway,quite pleased with this one as it doesn't have that many parts. Oh,it's a 1/24 resin kit. Chris.
  15. Wow! That looks really busy I wasn't expecting that. I must say it looks stunning and real too! Chris.
  16. Thanks John, very much appreciated, though it's always that you find a decent picture after you have completed a model! I think I've seen this car at Goodwood but didn't take any pictures then. That's a very nice display there. Chris.
  17. The Jag E2A was definitely not there when I was! A very nice rarity. Can you possibly take any interior pictures John? Pretty please? Chris.
  18. A great result there, but the Ferrari badge is the only thing missing ! Chris.
  19. Nice idea! I made the metal Monogram version last year and the mould lines were horrendous, also being hard metal quite a job to remove. The kit itself was very user friendly. Chris.
  20. I'm with Sabrejet on the Mr.Hobby primer,it just works,I pick some up whenever I manage to see it. Luckily I have two near shops, one is in walking distance. I also have some pages from I think Tamiya magazine building this very kit,it's buried in my library somewhere! Chris.
  21. Good progress, its nice to see a Tameo kit built! 1/43 sports cars are easier, well mostly..looking good so far.Chris.
  22. Agree with the above statement, these cars are really expensive now and I have actually driven one of these Dino's but not that far unfortunately. The model looks real as well! Chris.
  23. Love the new wheels and brakes, the Revell kit is most definitely simplified. Puts me off getting one though I would like one, Chris.
  24. I think it's great! Everyday is an engineering problem somehow......I can't fault it at all ,Chris.
  25. This is a re-run of the bendy front wings from a few years ago! I can't remember the team that was involved now. Chris.
