  1. Hi,just a small update on my small Mustang. Eventually I got round to masking and spray painting the rear end of this car,I think it's a good match for the blue of the decals which cover both sides of the car.The next stage is just to attach all those decals to the body now.........Till later,Chris.
  2. I like the brown paintjob! And decal stripes are your friend,i normally use sliver/aluminium and end up touching up the handles afterwards....Chris
  3. I've recently started using a new Tamiya spraycan it's TS 83 Metallic silver.Very happy with this for bumpers etc. It even has a label on it saying that you must use a black undercoat first. It also costs about £13 a tin compared to the normal £7 or so for a 'normal' Tamiya spraycan. Chris.
  4. Loving the Bristol above, real quality. The Lotus Cortina I'm not quite convinced is genuine after looking inside, but I could well be wrong,it looks brand new from the outside. And the Cortina mk4,you never ever see these now! Chris.
  5. Spotted in Tenterden High st. on Saturday, just along from where the horror of the chrome Range Rover was parked not so long ago! Chris.
  6. That's very impressive! An excellent build there, and I love these 1/144 kits. Chris.
  7. It is a beauty! This model got quite badly criticised, but it looks very fine to me. Only thing missing is maybe decals on the bootlid? Chris.
  8. You're racing ahead! All looking very good too. Chris.
  9. I like this one quite a bit so far, might have to get my own now. Chris.
  10. Cheers Ian,the MK1 is popular! Must admit I do like this one myself,I managed to put a Lister badge on the grille it can just about be seen. The real car car will be racing at the Goodwood Revival soon. Thanks again. Chris.
  11. A small update on my small car, this shows all the parts of the wheels,I've also made a good start on the interior but There's still quite a way to go yet. I have added everyday objects just to show the small size, but you know this already! Im still thinking about spraying the rear of the car blue, got to find the right colour first. Chris. Dashboard, steering wheel.
  12. Great job on the grille, making a new plastic photo etch grille! Makes a hell of a difference. Liking the yellow paint job too. Chris.
  13. Unfortunately I never went to those races, but I went the 1968 only, then a long gap till 1982. Great cars all of the 917's. chris.
  14. Thanks Keith! I think Silk Cut jags are always popular, still got a couple more to make yet! Did I say that I like Jaguars?! Chris.
  15. A nice conversion Trevor,I wasn't aware of this slightly different chassis so all very good work there. This kit must have been released in about 1982 or 3! Chris.
  16. Thanks for the likes Steve and Trevor- you both like the MK1,me too! I forgot this picture below, one picture that says Le Mans? Chris.
  17. It's started! I managed to get to watch the 1st.qualifying on Wednesday, but need to watch last nights final qualifying now. One car looks as though it may not start the race,an LMP2 car. Chris.
  18. Here are my three latest completions ,two 1986 Silk Cut Jags, the smaller non Silk Cut one is a 1/43 Provence Moulage resin kit ,the Silk Cut cars 1st. race at Silverstone. No ciggy advertising was allowed! The bigger one is a Profil 1/24 resin kit,its twice the size of the other car. This is from the 1986 Le Mans 24hrs.race. Then there's the green 1/32 1959 Lister Jaguar MK1. I never knew there was such a car,but I've made this for the person who owns and races it now. There's a green Lister badge on the radiator grille. Its a 1/32 George Turner models body with the grille, bumpers and windows only. It does come with a base for a motor,so I had to make an interior including the dashboard and seats etc. George Turner makes very decent models! Oh and the wire wheels came from Pendle Slot racing shop.Thats enough chat, hope you like the models! Chris.
  19. Wow! I read that you used clear red on top the red paint, but it didn't register. I've never heard of doing this before - it looks good though from here,Chris.
  20. Looking good so far in red,I think you made the right choice! Chris.
  21. That's very nice! It's good to see F resin kits finished, and very well too! Chris.
  22. It's literally just about the cars and the racing,I don't think anyone speaks till about an hour in. Chris.
  23. It did get about an hours coverage on BBC on and off in the 80's I think,so when the Silk Cut Jaguars started racing I forced myself to go the race to see it live,I just had to! The best race in the world still even though they keep changing everything including the food choices believe it or not. Hoping to watch as much as possible on Eurosport this weekend....Chris.
  24. Me too,but not maybe the timing screens! I'm a great fan of Le Mans, and go most years. At least we can watch it all on Eurosport. Chris.
  25. It looks beautiful, the yellow is an excellent choice too. The wheels are especially decent as well. Lovely! Chris.
