  1. Looks good to me. One minor point, if I may? The port side of the fixed part of the canopy should have a solid panel and periscope. Just had a look in my logbook for that period. Did a fair bit of AAR with XV466 in late '84 when I was part of 1312Flt, so pleased to see that your model has extended its refuel probe in readiness for contact with the basket. Trevor
  2. Welcome aboard from another recently retired modeller. I justified my stash by telling myself that I would have plenty of time once I retired. "Senior Management" has found a number of "little jobs" for me to do around the house and garden, and I recently become a Grandad, all of which take up precious modelling time. Still, wouldn't change it for the world. Trevor
  3. Try Grand Prix Models. They usually have a good range of DMC decals. Trevor
  4. Modern MotoGP is still infinitely more entertaining than F1. It's proper racing, with lots of overtaking, and really close. Granted, there are no true privateers anymore (the same has been true for F1 for many, many years), but the satellite teams are on competitive machines, and God bless Tech 3 for finally getting the win they really deserved. I think the whole paddock was really chuffed for them when Miguel Olivera won the Styrian GP. Trevor
  5. Nice work so far. Love the techniques you used on the expansion boxes - they look very convincing. Trevor
  6. Nicely done. Don't see this colour scheme very often. Trevor
  7. I think Schnitzer are still in business. An email to them with a pic of the car may help. Trevor BTW, top motor!
  8. Cracking model, excellent handiwork. Trevor
  9. Ah yes, the Mazda. I'd almost forgotten that that was the second incarnation. Trevor
  10. The XJR-14 lived on past '91. When Jaguar pulled the plug on the program, TWR eventually sold the chassis' and assets to Porsche in '94. The result was the Porsche WSC95 which they entrusted to Reinhold Joest's team. They won Le Mans in '96 and '97 with the same chassis which had started life as XJR-14 chassis 691. You could therefore say that TWR built cars won Le Mans on four occasions - '88, '90, '96 and '97. Trevor
  11. Wow. This is progressing at an amazing rate. Is that because it's a doddle to put together, or have you just dispensed with the need to sleep, eat, etc? Trevor
  12. Gotta love the Scooter. So many schemes to choose from, but these are amongst the best. Trevor
  13. Ooh, that looks really good. Trevor
  14. Have a look on you tube for "in car 956". Epic. www.youtube.com/watch?v=OtX2t9NjO3A Flat out at Le Mans with Derek Bell. It's like warp drive down the Mulsanne straight! Trevor
  15. Beautifully done. Group C was just such a great sports car era. And then Ecclestone stuck his oar in and we got the diluted "F1 with a roof" cars. Not the same. Never got to see Group C at Le Mans, but watched the Jags and Porsches race at Brands Hatch. Top racing! Trevor
  16. Great subject, and very well executed. Trevor
  17. That is so good. The tin-worn has taken a good hold, and I love the tattered soft top. Trevor
  18. Mix and match. Always fun. I shall follow with interest. Trevor
  19. Great models! I've always had a bit of a soft spot for the CR42 and G50. Trevor
