That would be my preferred solution. (Nice pick-up, BTW) Trevor

Fast Canis Lupus...1/20 Wolf WR 1 1977

Very nice indeed! Trevor -
Absolutely. The gap is about 2mm, or so. The runner channels in the window frame, and in the shiny section, keep them apart very nicely. The vertical, black, strip on the leading edge of the rear window is a draught excluder. It is not strictly necessary and you can go without, if desired. Trevor

In the real world there are conversion kits to fit sliding windows to later cars. I did this conversion on my Clubman saloon using Mk1/2 channels with polycarbonate windows. This was during the conversion process. As you can see, the inner structure of the door has been pretty much eradicated. The polycarbonate windows still have their protective films in place at this stage. Job finished. The front window sits in the outer channel, with the rear window in the inner. Hope this is of use. All very nice, but I have to agree with you regarding the Chevron. Trevor

Mazda 767B "1992 JSPC" (Hasegawa, 1/24 scale)

Looks great despite your problems with decals, etc. I didn't even know this Mazda variant even existed, so thanks for increasing my knowledge. Trevor -
Great colours! Trevor

Lovely! All the horses, carriages, and their drivers immaculately turned out. Thanks very much. Trevor

That is coming along very nicely but, as has been said, the door pull cables should be black. Centre binnacle looks great, well done! Trevor

Driving back home from Kent today there were plenty of interesting classics out in the nice weather. In no particular order (and, sadly, no images) a beige/brown Mk10 Jaguar, an orange/red MGB GT (wires, N reg) a black Pontiac Firebird, two Caterham 7s (one green, one yellow) and a black A-H 3000. Plus plenty of mobile chicanes/caravans. Trevor

Great result from some lateral thinking. Trevor

Couldn't agree more. A consummate all-rounder. I saw the Datapost Ecosse C2s ("Pat" and "Henry") take first and second respectively in C2 at Brands Hatch in1987. Ray was driving the class winner. Trevor

Love the Lola T70s. The first race meeting I ever attended was the Guards Trophy on August Bank Holiday in 1965. John Surtees won in his T70. Trevor

Never knew that. Thanks for the link. Trevor

Ford GT40 Daytona 1966 Miles/Ruby

I think the "fender hump" is there to ensure sufficient clearance for the tyre when subjected to load on the banked section of the Daytona circuit, but don't quote me on that! Trevor -
This very tidy Forward Control Land-Rover was at Cambridge Services at lunchtime today. Trevor

That looks really good! There were still one or two airframes in the "chocolate bomber" scheme when I was posted to RAF Lyneham, although, by the time I started my conversion course they had been through Marshalls for repainting. Talking of size, the "transatlantic trainer" trip (part of the conversion course) went through Dover AFB. We taxied in past a line of C-5 Galaxies. Made our C-130 seem very insignificant. Trevor

That looks really good. As SAT69 says, the finish and weathering are spot on. Great workmanship, congratulations. Trevor

Spotted this morning on my way into town, a Buick Wildcat. Trevor

That's taking shape very nicely indeed. As you say, always good to see the paintwork coming together. Trevor -
They all look very nice, but the VW Splitty takes top spot IMHO. Would be great to see you make good on your wish to do a model. Trevor

Looking good! Trevor
