  1. That is very nice. I know from experience that MA kits require a certain amount of extra effort and determination to get a decent result. Look forward to seeing more of your models. Trevor
  2. Such a useful tool in my mind! With five Minis to maintain, including one with drum front brakes, the brake adjusting spanner rarely gets time to get dusty (or rusty!). Trevor
  3. That looks very nice. I had a Mk1 RS2000 back in the seventies. If only I still owned it! Trevor
  4. Another great model. Always a pleasure to view one of yours. Trevor
  5. That's looking really good. For vac-form transparencies I also use curved cuticle scissors, and then finish the shape with finer and finer grades of Testors sanding film. A long process, but patience pays off. For the smaller parts (like your indicators), I attach with a thin layer of Kristal Klear. Once fully dry, I run a fine line of acrylic gloss varnish around the periphery with a small (5/0) brush. Really helps hold the tiny pieces in place. Trevor
  6. That is really good! The overall effect is most convincing - well done. Trevor
  7. Had a look through book "The Works Escorts". Top word is definitely Services. There is a decal sheet for this car; Bit difficult to make out the details, but purchasing the sheet may solve a lot of problems. Trevor
  8. Very nice pair of race cars. I have to agree that the Eagle was one of the best looking F1 cars. Trevor
  9. Spotted quite a few exotica on the way from Lincolnshire to Kent this afternoon. On the A1, a dark blue Jaguar XK120 and a white Austin Healey (100/6, I think). On the M11, a pale yellow Jaguar E Type and a very large American car - lots and chrome and grilles - mid-sixties? On the M25, a black Lamborghini (Aventador, I think) being close followed by a yellow Lotus Elise. Plus, near Grantham, an old, red, Renault 5. Not bad for one journey. Trevor
  10. Looking better at every stage. Trevor
  11. Yesterday, heading south on the M11, a two-tone blue Wolseley 1500. Only caught a brief glimpse as I was heading north, but it looked quite tidy. Trevor
  12. Excellent workmanship in all areas. Love the simple but effective base. The pilot is a great finishing touch. Bravo! Trevor
  13. Nice work with the BMF. Looks like it's all coming together very well. Trevor
  14. Very nice indeed. Beautifully put together. Trevor
  15. Around midday, at the top of the M11 heading north, a red DAF 33! Looked very tidy. Trevor
  16. More brilliant details. On the subject of "glossiness", I agree with the previous comments. Back in the day, cellulose paint would have been the norm. Good finish, but not ridiculously shiny. Anyway, keep up the good work. Trevor
  17. Sort of makes sense, then. Not sure that it ever saw squadron service (certainly not during the Falklands conflict). My information is that it was delivered directly to RAE Bedford in1976, and remained there for the rest of its active life until sold to Bournemouth museum. Trevor
  18. I very much doubt that extreme weather has stripped the surface of the wings. It's either been overpainted, or the paint has been partially stripped during maintenance, or similar. Judging by the bulged profile in the nose area, I suspect that the airframe is XX987 which was modified to test Tornado avionics, etc. which had grey upper surfaces and white lower surfaces. This might explain the colour variations. Trevor
  19. Outstanding work. Love the shabby and faded finish. Trevor
  20. That looks very tidy indeed. Nice work. Trevor
