  1. I actually finished my second kit for the year! This is Hasegawa's 1/144 YS-11, with the kit decals for Japan Air Commuter. Initially, I wasn't too thrilled with the overall-white scheme, but after I got the decals on it, I ended really liking this one. The decals had yellowed a bit since I bought the kit back in 1999, so I bleached them out in a sunny window for a few days, but I should have lest them sit in the sun a little longer. Anyway, it's nice to add another YS-11 to the shelf. It's my sixth YS-11 so far, and I have the seventh in progress
  2. The Stratos is definitely my all-time favorite Rally car, and it's great to see one dirtied up, and in its element! Nice job!
  3. Nice! Beautiful finish. I've always liked the look of the MP4/4. If I ever get around to building one, Yours will give me a benchmark to shoot for. Excellent work!
  4. Love it! Excellent work! That's probably my favorite mark of the Blenheim, and you're certainly done her proud.
  5. WOW! That's awesome! Looking at the photos, I can almost feel the hot sun beating down on me. I visited there many years ago, and you've done an amazing job capturing the feel of the boneyard!
  6. Great job. Russ! I love your paint, weathering, and presentation. Excellent all around!
  7. That's awesome! The Chinook looks great in that livery. A civil Chinook (okay, Model 234) is certainly a rarity. Very nicely done!
  8. Ooh, VERY nice! The paint is superb. Great choice of markings too! 😉
  9. Wow, that looks great! I've been trying to find one of those kits for a fair price, but they must not be on this side of the pond yet. Beautiful work on yours!
  10. Love it! I have a couple in the stash, and I'm anxious to get started. I really enjoy Amodel kits, but I wish the clear parts were better, especially cabin windows. You've done a great job!
  11. Nicely done! Such a great looking airplane!
  12. Beautiful job! The paint is awesome! The F189 was one of the best looking Grand Prix cars ever! If I ever get around to building this kit, I'll be happy if it looks even half as good as yours!
  13. Wow! Beautiful work! Your paint and weathering is awesome! Very, very impressive!
  14. Wow! Beautifully done! The markings are great, and your paint and finishing is perfect. I have a few of those kits buried in my stash somewhere, and after seeing yours, I think that I need to go dig one out!
  15. I'm still new here, and have only posted a few of my builds, but I realized that none of them were British subjects. Since the site IS BRITmodeller after all, I thought that I better post something British! As the title states, this is the old Airfix Vanguard kit. I did some simple rescribing on the wings and tail, reshaped the scoops on the undersides of the nacelles, and boxed in the wheel wells. I also wanted to do a livery that might be different than one normally seen on Vanguard kits. I used AHS decals, which were the thinnest decals I've ever experienced, and didn't want to move once they made contact with the model! Anyway, I was happy with the final outcome. Now it's time to get to work on my Welsh Models Viscount! Cheers, Corbin
