  1. A shame about the paint, I'm not sure what could have done that. The body and turret look very smart. πŸ‘πŸ‘Œ
  2. Cheers mate. It's the right shape now and a nice bit of weight to it. Should be able to get a coat of paint on it over the weekend. πŸ‘
  3. Getting shape now. DW suggest you put on the fenders and mudguards first but after a bit of dry fitting I knew this wouldn't work. There is a bit of warpage of the base so you need the aid of clamps to get the two parts to match. One side was alright so I heavily glued that side and let it dry. Then went to work on the other. It fitted well in the end. Cheers all and have a good day.πŸ‘
  4. What a great start and what a great looking kit. Having read your WIPs I know we are in for a treat and loads of tips that we can "borrow" for our own builds. Nice one and welcome along.
  5. Funny you should say that. I have been having problems with my nose for ages and have been cutting out different thing to see what was causing it. I have now sadly narrowed it down to one of the glues I was using, which is mostly the excellent Tamiya Thin. I'll now wear a mask if I have to use it for a long session, which is a PITA in itself.🀬
  6. I see the diecast base paints up alright. Good work Enzo. πŸ‘πŸ‘
  7. That whitewash has been done very well with a good bit of filth. Top work John.πŸ‘πŸ‘
  8. Very nice Matt. An all round great diorama and I bet that mud was fun to play around with.
  9. Excellent finish Ian. I always enjoy your work and this one doesn't disappoint. Well done.
  10. Finished with a slurry of dark earth pigment and drybrushed gun metal.
  11. Fantastic bike and a beautiful paint job. Really great work. πŸŽ¨πŸ‘
  12. Sorry to hear that Mark. Hopefully you can sort out a work around so that some modelling can get done. All the best. πŸ‘
  13. That's perfect and what I would like to achieve. Thank you.
  14. It wasn't a strong mix so roughly half a bottle of fluid plus the same of water. Put the tracks in a large plastic/pyrex tray and cover with the mix and then agitate the fluid using a stiff brush, getting into the gaps and crevices (you will miss the odd spot but you can cover these up later on.) Because it was a weak mix I had a good ten minutes on each run to get them to that colour. You could leave them in for longer if needed.πŸ‘
  15. I used some AK burnishing fluid on the tracks and it worked ok. A few air bubbles but nothing too bad. Now a few layers of different colour pigments and a burnish with graphite and they can be placed and I should be able to move onto the main body for good. Cheers all and have a great week.
  16. That is a great paint scheme and I fully understand why you want to do it. I'll definitely be following along.πŸ‘
  17. Brilliant finish Keith. You've done a super job on the Jeep.
  18. That is very good. Super camo. πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘
  19. Blimey, that's a lotta wheels!! Rather you than me. πŸ˜„πŸ‘
  20. "Alcohol. The cause and solution to all of life's problems." Homer (Simpson)😁 Great to see you join in and I look forward to see what you produce.πŸ‘
  21. Cool. It will be interesting to see how the Tamiya JT will build. Welcome along MD and all the best.πŸ‘
  22. More marvellous workmanship.πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
  23. Sorry Paul, nothing doing. I thought I may have had some leftovers from an old Dragon KT I did years ago but they weren't as generous as they are now.
