    I am not a fan of these high-tech clean, stealth bombers, but you made a very good-looking model! How did you like the polishing compound? Can you recommend it? I usually use some nail buffers that are normally used to polish nails, and they work quite well, but you can't get in all the corners and crevices of the model normally.. regards, Gerben

    This is the P-51D Mustang by Airfix in 48 scale. It was a joy to build this kit. I used Vallejo acrylics (mainly olive drab and neutral grey). The decals came from SuperScale decals (no48-1065). There is a mistake in the decal sheet instructions, since they make 'ol flak joe' walk towards the tail of the aircraft. I had my doubts if that could be corect. Some searching on the internet showed that in fact he was walking in the direction of flight. Hope you like the Mustang. Regards, Gerben

    Very nice Crusader! Clean build and the blue/grey looks spot-on to me. I remember the beginning of the nineties at Brustem (B) when I saw two of them flying as a kind of synchro-pair.. a fantastic experience! I have 2 Crusaders in 1/48 scale in my stash and looking at your build I want to start building them even more.. there's just so much that has to be finished first..
