  1. Just remembered to cast my votes. looking forward to excuse to mess around with tracks for a change.
  2. Always up for something from the Low Countries. Not sure what yet but it will probably have wings...
  3. Beautiful looking model. Must get round to finishing mine...
  4. Following this with interest as fancy tackling one for the Africa GB next year, maybe in Angolan markings. Looking good so far. Your a braver guy than me to carve up the fuselage like that!
  5. Ha yeah ‘‘tis a shame they can’t fly but at least it’s a nice looking scheme! Makes a nice change from the dull grey colour every other modern fighter seems to wear.
  6. Loving the idea of this! Give me an excuse to try a different subject from the ww2 British birds ive building recently. Quite fancy having a go at a su27 in either Angolan or Eritrean markings, such great looking schemes and I haven’t built a jet yet.
  7. Hi all, Glad I’m not the only one to struggle with the forums search function... will try google next time. Thanks for all the info, does seem like the met squadrons were not as well documented as some of the other raf squadrons but then it makes sense as they were a very small part of the war effort. I had come across that story, the guys were certainly brave going up no matter how poor the conditions were! Considering that it’s amazing that more aircraft weren’t lost on met sorties during the war. FS
  8. This is going to be fun. Thinking of tackling a Greek or Finnish one though need to figure out which type and kit to go with.
  9. Thanks for the warm welcome! I’m looking forward to sharing my attempts at sticking bits of plastic together once I’ve got some free time and am back with all my kits!

  11. Cheers guys clearly need to get better at using the search function!!
  12. Hi all, This is a bit of a long shot but does anyone happen to have any info or photos of 519 squadron’s B-17s? Would love to shine a light on the role the meteorological reconnaissance flights when I get round to tackling a B-17. cheers FS
  13. Been wanting to have a go at a Leopard and this seems like a great excuse to get round to one. Though I haven’t had much experience with armour modelling I like the sound of trying to get a model built in 3 months! Stops me getting distracted by the next shiny kit!
  14. Looking great and such a strange and wonderful subject. The lengths we will go to for a pint! might have to have a go at one of these myself one day. FS.
