  1. Nice build, Magna did a resin 1/48 kit back in the day....... i built one and heres some pics as i love the subject , cheers
  2. Right then ! Here is an update on my Civil Haunebu , ive installed 4 small retro rockets by drilling holes ( pretty special eh?) inserting pointy things i found in my treasure chest/ thats a spares box to you earthlings , cutting them down and sanding flush with the outer skin, ouch ! , and then magically covered up some windows with plastic card of all things ( creative eh ?!!) , applied copious amounts of filler sanded blemishes , lost skin, found redemption after undercoating with primer, losing my mind and remaining knuckle skin after removing more blemishes and priming the entire 'body' in 'Adolf Moustache black real shiney lacquer ' to enable a coat of Nazi dark Haunebu Aluminium known as 'Dark Herman Alu 235' , which by the way will be available to purchase at all fish n chip shops world wide from Jan 2024 just ask for it by title if you want to match mine, i have then coated the whole she-bang with clear von Alclad now i will await the coming of the full moon for it to finally dry before i mask it for some extra special bits of black, white and red areas of paint ........as well as isolating the retro fairings with burnt metal paint stuff , meanwhile here in the tropics where the monsoon season approaches and the rains begin i will contemplate final painting and how by the love of Thor i can mount the beast on a suitable pintal base and structure , i do have some lovely potential placards for a flat base or rear wall or something i haven't thought up yet, when i do i will communicate further until then i bid you auf wiedersehen pet's !
  3. I am enjoying your thread very much here , congrats on moving the viewing cupola ! in regards painting or foiling that's a very personal modelling choice and is totally in the minds eye imagination of the modeller entirely , what I mean is it really comes down to how you see it, I make many real space and sci-fi projects and ponder this question in every build, two things that make it difficult for me are my perception of scale effect and how I myself will be happy to view the subject in my cabinet in the future , not easy to satisfy those ! also it comes down to my skills set too !! , we model for ourselves first and share here to inspire and garner support etc so good luck with whatever you decide , cheers
  4. Right then , i hereby acknowledge receipt of your various communications gentlemen and aliens ,and thank yee however i have been unable to reply, post, model or do much of any darned thing due to being stricken down by some alien lurgy for a few days , i will return to my bench when i am released from my padded cell today and upon my straight jacket being removed due to medicated behaviour , in the meantime to prove beyond any shadow of a doubt i am from that 'other' part of the solar system and in dire NEED of a spot being allocated in the naughty corner i have posted one of my previous builds ( Monogram space taxi) in the Karman line reference section , a pig and a pacifier are included but no drop bears, for the observant among thee , cheers all !!! up up and away........
  5. Heres my ancient Monogram Space Taxi built and modified using my ancient skill set and thought patterns and my lifetime of acquired irrelevant bits n pieces from the spares treasure chest , i will post some other builds when and if my straight jacket becomes sufficiently loose !
  6. Exactly !! Now i had been messaged about the Roo being out of scale and oversize, !! i replied reminding the correspondent that following the last nuclear war fallout around where i live in North Queensland Oz Straya was as thick as sugar can ash after a seasonal burn and it affected a lot of animals , and as to why the Roo would be near the craft is easily explained that it was refuelling on its journey to the Nazi base in Antarctica I really dont get why people have to ask such basic questions about real modern history , but in the spirit of the Britmodeller family i gave prompt polite responses I think ive sorted a canopy out today and some thrusters , these will be in next update Cheers all !😊😉🤣
  7. Hello Trendsetters , Sorry im late to the party , i have for your delectation or rejection my Haunebu civilian prototype , i am building from the Pegasus kit,its pretty basic so rather than modify one of my other highly detailed kits from my kit sanctuary i will use this one, i am modifying it completely from my own fractured imagination and will use my limited modelling skills to render this beast, i have closed off gun apertures with card and covered large seams also ,installed undercarriage doors as it will be rendered in flight, i have installed the bits ive modified so far , fired some primer at it and am now looking for bits to utilise as a control bridge......hmmmmm......... i do intend she will be in some sort of weird Nazi late war metal finish with appropriate markings ill think up when i get to that stage , those that havent dismissed this silly thread and have got to the last image will see a Kangaroo in the pics, i do intend the craft to be doing a short refuelling stop in Northern Oz Straya where i reside on its way taking nuclear scientists to the secret Nazi Kommando base in Antarctica , Thats the plan More later after my electric shock therapy Cheers
  8. I really enjoy your star trek builds and this one has been no exception, i think your use of pre shading works wonderfully too, live long and prosper !
  9. Hello Enzo and thank you ! ill get organised cheers
  10. As is usual for me i'm late to the party and have just found this thread a pity as i'd have loved to have joined the group build , i will however get organised and post a few pics of my builds when i can , cheers all !

  12. Progress thus far, some wood effect completed ( not much will be seen when she is buttoned up and holes for rigging drilled in the ? mainplane ? , next i'll assemble the engine and add some detail to the cockpit and hopefully get the airframe ? if thats what its called assembled http://97F5899D-2129-4153-9580-438778CFA702_1_102_o by Norman Long, on Flickr http://6B4C3A2F-A087-4F42-B238-7EB4A402F853_1_201_a by Norman Long, on Flickr I have seatbelts , some gauges and a pilot figure sorted too Cheers all
