The Blades are composite blades and are not titanium. The leading edge of the blades have a metal protection cover bonded onto them for FOD and delamination purposes and the rest of the blade is black, the spinner cone is black and normally has a white spiral painted onto it. For the size of the blades they are very light and great care is taken with them when they are removed. The blades are from a GEnex engine and virtually the same as the B787 engine. There are pictures on the GE website of the Genex blades and the spinner cone so should give you the correct colour.

I am reading a called BROTHERS IN ARMS about the Sherwood Rangers and their Sherman tanks from D-Day to VE-Day by James Holland. Some pictures of Firefly tanks and storage sketches of Firefly, the book is worth reading and very moving regarding the amount of lives lost. Recommended book, I bought it as I'm starting a RFM of Sherman HVSS with interior but not realy mentioned in book, I bought it for a tenner in Tesco.

Always liked and fancied building one of these kites, but the cost is getting in the realms of a Italeri1/32 Tornado. I would have bought the two if I was not retired.........one can wish. 😪

Thanks guys for your suggestions, I have both Detail and Scale and a few Tomcat books and the seat colours are either or. I will need to decide what markings to fit and make the seat covers the same as the bird. yes Richard E the Ejection Seat Site and Martin Baker Site show different colours. In my opion the green looks easier to clean than the buff, I suppose in service life like aerospace parts Service Bulletins's will be introduced for updates/improvements through it's life.

Hi, can someone please help, I spent time looking through the site for the colour of the ejector seat pads. The seats pads are buff according to Tamiya F-14 1/32 Instructions, yet quickboost 1/32 ejection seat colour suggestions state olive green. I have seen numerous pictures on the net and seem to be either Buff or Olive green🤔 Thanks

I have a 1/48th scale Airfix BAC TSR-2, I bought it at a model show at Bellahouston Sports Centre a couple of years ago. I was looking forward to build it until I discovered a part missing, it's assembly number18 part number 11 the tail faring the exhausts fit into. Any help suggestions would be helpfull. Cheers Harry
