  1. Certainly does Geoff ! Thanks Glad you like it Gary, thanks mate Nev - some of the cables come with the eduard set, the orange bunched cables are just the copper strands of a household power cable all twisted together, and the others are fuse wire. John
  2. Cheers Anthony - love the sig by the way Thanks for those pics Chris - I'm quite in interested in the orange/white scheme you did, is it based on a proposed TSR scheme or something of your own design? I like it ! The cmk bomb bay does look really nice though ! - more progress to report The front gearbay had the front corner removed to accomodate the electronics bay, I've undercoated the bay black in preparation for dusting with progressively lighter shades. The good thing is the front undercarriage leg will pretty much obscure that little fiasco, so no harm there The rear gear bays have had some extra detail added to the existing eduard pipework - they will receive a subtle wash and the cabling / pipes will get a little more colour.
  3. Beautiful stuff, love the paint chipping on that Gustav. Gimme a 190 any day
  4. Welcome to Britmodeller Monty !
  5. Beautiful job John - really nice Tin Triangle :thumbsup2:
  6. Chaps - thats fantastic , exactly what I needed to know Thanks muchly :thumbsup2: John
  7. Hi chaps - can anyone who has the TSR.2 bomb bay armament set by CMK tell me if it will fit into the bomb bay AFTER the fuselage has been fully assembled, or does it have to be inserted before the lower fuselage is sealed up..? thanks John
  8. Lovely work Mike, nice touch with the trim tab as well, good little detail
  9. Great work Gary - the cockpit detail looks superb.
  10. Will - thanks, I'm very glad it got you started into the hobby again, yes there is a 1/32 version waiting in the wings, however I need to grab the flightpath GR4 set and various other bits before embarking on the big one - in the mean time I have a TSR.2 to be cracking on with cheers John
  11. Thanks again guys cost of building her..? hmmmm Lets see... Italeri Kit - £14.00 Airfix Kit off Ebay - £10.00 Neomega cockpit - £18.00 Paragon Flaps - £13.00 Front Fin correction - £3.00 Bulged wheels - £3.50 Burner Cans - £4.00 XtraDecal markings - £11.00 Flightpath Tiald pod - £4.00 /\ and that lot is without P&P ! Yep - an accurate Fin is not a cheap project, which goes to show how good a prize Neil has generously donated for the 5000th post..... ......which will be TODAY!!!!!!
  12. Looks very good, love the cabling !
  13. Geoff- thanks for the info mate, I'll be ordering the CMK bomb bay set today. Jake - no worries fella, I didn't think that at all
  14. Thanks Guy - he's certainly set the bar high hasn't he !?! Thanks Jake, sorry to dissapoint you mate, but the aircraft will be preshaded in certain areas to reflect the grubby areas on he original aircraft, it wouldn't have looked right on a glossy sea harrier, but on this model, I think it will, if done carefully and sparingly LOL Rich - lay of the sauce mate, its the middle of the week John
  15. Cheers Ian and Geoff All sorted now - the front leg will hide the sins so onto the main gearbays. Incidentally Geoff - what did XR219 carry in her bomb-bay during testing ? I was considering the model with the bomb bay open, but seeing as all that was contained was a load of insulation padding I'm not so sure ! cheers John
  16. Bit of a legend really - a test pilot who lived to a ripe old age. RIP Neville
  17. Juanjo school - hehe nice one Jen Thanks peeps - bit of a bugger this problem, but I've now got a handle on it Hi Jens Yeah I'm pretty sure the location of the wheel well is correct - the front gear leg runs down directly behind the electronics bay, so I can't imagine the wheel bay could extend much further than that in reality. I've remedied the problem by cutting away the front corner of the wheelbay to accomodate the resin corner of the avionics bay, it doesn't look great, but with the front gear leg in place with supporting struts, wiring and cabling and gear doors in place, I'm banking on most of the problem being hidden from sight from most angles More pics to follow later
  18. Fantastic work on that cockpit Ian, that eduard stuff is the biz eh ? Great stuff John
  19. Thankyou chaps, I'm glad you like it Geoff- thank you very much for the hud info, definately makes sense as I was looking at the FS2004 model by Alphasim which show cockpit shots with a full functional HUD, but projected seemingly onto the windshield. Thanks again for that :thumbsup2 Now - ladies and gents, here is the first stumbling block of combining the CMK resin pit with the Airfix kit. See that big white thing ? thats the front wheelbay, and the black block it is sitting on is the rear of the resin avionics bay - yep, its supposed to go right there - a whole centimetre of the front wheelbay area is occupied by resin. Bugger. Looks like I'm going to have to shorten the front wheelbay by about 10 mil . Kept this bit quiet in the instructions didn't ya CMK ?
  20. Hi David, and welcome to Britmodeller ! Your modelling skills look first class from here -your comment aboutthe eduard masks is interesting as they are usually regarded as easier to use, but good to see you have the whole situation more than uinder control! Please keep us updated and welcome again John
  21. Nice job Darren - yeah she's looking a bit front heavy but nothing drastic. All in all a very nice little build - be happy with that mate :thumbsup2:
  22. Hi Matt Yep - they are the ones, however I didn't use the Paragon seats, I used the ones that came with the Neomega pit. You might want to consider the Paragon Tornado burner cans as well, they are much crisper than the kits ones and also include the thrust reverse gearing in between the cans - highly recommended. Drop Neil a post on his forum here, and he'll be able to help you out John
  23. Hi Phil - around 3 years now, nothing as shown signs of falling apart (yet!) I use it as much as a filler as a cement. As daft as it sounds, the cheaper the stuff, the better I tend to find it is !
  24. Ahhh cheers Mikey, not that I've used it or plan to, useful to know anyway.
