  2. Took a bit of googling, but this gives a couple of views http://www.internetmodeler.com/1999/march/...-walkaround.htm
  3. Thats a real shame Paul, your albeit headless project still looks excellent, very nice and neat paintwork on the torso. Best of luck finding that replacement head mate.
  4. Hi Gary - all I've had to do is drill out the holes at the front of the airbrake bays, but I've decided the airbrakes will be 95% retracted as per XR219
  5. Thanks David CMK do the best aftermarket bits, and the total list of resin vailable for the TSR.2 is huge, suffice to say I went down the route of the CMK cockpit, which includes the avionics bay, the CMK bomb bay set, and the eduard etched gear wells, and CMK wheels. suffice to say the exterior of the model is all.. airfix, the main area that really needs a bit of careful attention and filler being the air intakes and shock cones. I believe CMK also a replacement control surfaces set and also replacement air intakes, but I chose to do that little lot myself. In short I'd go for the CMK cockpit if you want to display her unbuttoned, and the weghted wheels purely for the wheel hub detail which is superb. Hope that helps John
  6. Looking fantastic Mike - I've never seen the old kit look so good !
  7. Cheers chaps Yeah I do like that one :whistling: Right - the main fuselage assembly went into the paintshop today, the model was pre-shaded in dark sea grey over the white primer base, and then I gave the Revell acrylic white a try... and I was most impressed with the way it airbrushed, highly recommended. On to the undercarriage next
  8. Ohhh neat work Nige - looks like a perfect fit achieved there !
  9. Got mine, and I'm absolutely blown away by it. Looks like a fabulous little kit
  10. Beautiful work there - I like the finish on the TR1a actually, the lightened patches look most authentic !
  11. Just order this fella along with the Revell 1/72 Tornado GR1 Probably the best 1/72 kits I have ever had the pleasure to unpack, I'm quite blown away by the quality of the mouldings Everything is there, the panel line detall, rivets, gear bays, seats, control panels, and the stores in the Tiffie box ..... ooooh the possibilities !!!!!!!! dribble dribble yep - I'm gobsmacked
  12. That is one sexy airplane, looks so much cooler than an SU-27. Amazing work as usual Mr Flory
  13. ew...... I gather this is the exact markings your client wanted ?
  14. I absolutely love that one Phil, full marks for weathering and finish - beautiful.
  15. Nah - looks great from here Mike, you'd be suprised how things change with a flat coat Crackin job mate.
  16. Absolutely fantastic, one hell of a build and a real showstopper. Love it :worthy:
  17. Oh christ Neil thats a bad result mate - please , like Gary said - you've saved the seats yes ?! bottom
  18. Hmmmm, so how come Mr Hasegawa doesn't have this issue ? Not that I see this as a big deal anyway, a bit of spit and polish and a smoke tint, sorted.
  19. Majestic Spit, beautiful job, (even if it does have clipped wings!)
  20. Same here... if I can actually find something to build
  21. Those seats are quite beautiful Neil
  22. Yeah I know :shithappens: I'm after an F-16 in 1/72, but I want a pretty aggressor build, so I'm not massively bothered about stores. Is the Revell the best option ? or Tamigawa ? opinions please peeps thanks John
  23. You do have to wonder how many people wailing and gnashing about the microscopic scratch in their canopies will finish their F-16s adorned with wobbly masking lines, glue stains, brush marks and fingerprints... ...... :whistling:
