  1. What Chris said! Great job and a fine looking model Sean !
  2. Ooooh thats a beauty Phil !!! I do like A-6s, much more interesting than Tomcats and Hornets, as Mr Grafton says in a certain film 'Fighter pukes make movies, bomber pilots make HISTORY!' Just the right amount of weathering too
  3. That really is a lovely build - classic choppers in a beautiful colour. Very nicely done indeed!
  4. You are far too kind Ian, thankyou - flattery will get you everywhere at Britmodeller ) Righty - more slow progress, here is the CMK resin armament set, I must say the way they sculpted the insulated padding is second to none, looks nice with a coat of paint and a wash. The fin is only undercoated at this stage, and the flaps are my scratchbuilt replacements made from styrene card. The black pattern is a cut up decal and the 2 flaps are just bluetacked in place just for the photo.
  5. Really nice work - the figure does definately look like Tom Skerrit in 1/32
  6. Another vote for Machinemart - good supplier. I have the very inexpensive Clarke Wizz and 2 gravity fed Iwata copies from ebay for about £15 each. So all in all a very cheap set up. I'll probably upgrade to some better kit some day, but this serves me ok for now.
  7. Smashing job Chris - the camo soft-edge is excellently done, really looking good!
  8. He's a bit of a legend is Mr Taylor Very nice to see you here Sir, and that P-38 (I won't call it by any other name!) is looking very pretty indeed, can't wait to see her unmasked Welcome to Britmodeller Ted! John
  9. Lovely job Will, The F3 looks really nice in those markings, really suits the black spine. Very tidy job indeed.
  10. Now THAT my friend, is a stunner. Love the subtle shading and ultra-neat paintwork. Excellent stuff.
  11. Geoff / Falcon / Joe Do any of you guys have a better image of the colour scheme on the upper surface of XR219's flaps? seems a fairly simple masking job but I'm only guestimating at the pattern and colour thanks John
  12. Its' a good camera, I've got an s5000 too Bloody fantastic result Phil, its almost as if the Phantom as born to wear those colours. Top notch.
  13. Nice job Hatchet, refreshing to see models done wheels-up as well!
  14. That red and white Hunter is stunning. Awesome job all round Chris !
  15. I reckon that's your best work yet mike Superb. :worthy:
  16. Fantastic job Andy, another superb model done with ruthless efficiency!
  17. Yeah what Kyrre said - In 1/35 about the size of a matchbox

  21. Magnificent Beau's Zeke. And the photography is equally lush. Wow. just...wow.
  22. As far as I know Bill, allclad is best left naked, but that looks GORGEOUS !!!
  23. Hi Mike My method tends to be the same for all tyre painting, I undercoat the whole thing in flat black, and then mist progressive coats of the wheel hub colour until the wheel hub until I've got the ideal highlights and lowlights - exactly the same way I do cockpits. Then you can paint the tyre by brush, letting capiliary action draw the paint around the wheel rim - I normally use flat black with a touch of brown. Don't be afraid to wash the wheel hub afterwards to really accentuate the detail. Hope that helps John
  24. How you punch out such high quality work so damn quickly I'll just never know Drewe. Certainly am ! John
  25. Very nice job indeed, neat precise paintwork. I like that a lot
