  1. Yours have the right dimensions, I'm only referring to the yellow one. It has the same design but seems to be a little smaller
  2. Hello Steve, this " yellow Wasserbombe" looks a little small? I have Photos of those used by the destroyers and they are 1/3 bigger like yours. Regards Andreas
  3. Hello. A suggestion for cutting the flight deck: Pull off the film below about 5mm, fold it and then stick it on. Using a steel ruler, mark the excess length with a pencil. If it fits, cut off the 1 mm with a sharp blade using the guide of the ruler. Carefully remove the stuck strip. You could possibly sand off a little of the non-glued 2nd deck. Then carefully lift the partly glued (shortened) deck and peel off the foil completely! I did it with a genuine wood deck- it worked well.
  4. Here is a link to the car i will trie to build: https://girardo.com/car/1983-lancia-lc2-group-c-0
  5. Hello Pascal, I have the Phrozen Sonic mini 4K, which experiences you have made with this? Do you have any tips using it? Regards Andreas
  6. I will trie to build the version of the photos sold by Girardo. Let us see how the modifications turned out. If well why not?
  7. But there is hope to create a good model. Then you can really enjoy this model.
  8. I just found another issue: the front air intake! and corrected! I am just working on the front wheel air vents, here a detail photo: thanks for looking, tips as allway wellcome! regards Andreas
  9. The fastest way to get into your grave: Maserati Quattroporte Hearse! Milan -Italy Dez.06.2022 I was reminded of the movie harold & maude! greetings from Milan Andreas
  10. It's going to be exciting work, It helps a lot to have a large 3D printer!
  11. I will print the air vents in 3D, the problem will be to cut out the thick plastic, and get the printed parts fitted in. I just did a test as there was nothing to loose. There is also a issue regarding the headlights - the headlight sockets appear too big (see my cutout) it wont be difficult to correct as I have to print them anyway in 3D. But then the decals would not fit and have to be modified. which is hardly possible in this area. You always have to make compromises! https://themotorsportnut.com/model-kits/italeri-lancia-lc2-completed/ A good built out of the box - there are only a few due to poo-poo model. It has to be modified!
  12. The few parts fit very badly and have many sink marks. The transparent parts are all, except for the rear lights maybe, so horrible that I threw them in the bin in disgust. And another issue: the front air intake! The 2nd problem area appeared to be the fake vents above the front wheels. Their thickness of the plastic made it impossible to open them up, but they were sanded down an reshaped! Thanks for watching!" Cheers Andreas
  13. Lancia LC2 from Italeri 1/24 4 After I bought this model, I would like to give a short review: This is a decal set with a few plastic parts! The best part are the Cartograph decals - forget the rest! Unless you are a total Lancia fan (Lancisti). The few parts fit very badly and have many sink marks. The transparent parts are all, except for the rear lights maybe, so horrible that I threw them in the bin in disgust. You practically have to rebuild the model 90% of the time, and as I said only 20% of the parts are usable at all. It is the worst model I have ever bought or seen. The box says kit for ages 14 and up - the truth is: For kids up to 14 years! Cheers Andreas
  14. Thanks Vesa! But it will be challenging, the vacuforming is essential for my design - i never done it before. After eliminating (cutting off) the 2 other issues i will start with the vacuforming. I will report all the attempts, Regards Andreas
  15. I always start with the hardest part on really challenging models. That saves a lot of time, because if that doesn't work, all the time and effort beforehand is wasted. With the Italeri Lancia it's the cockpit. which looks awful! After the cockpit was finally finished in 3D, I bought the model. My special thanks to Iceman 29 @Iceman 29 who gave the cockpit the right look with Fusion 360. I cut off the cockpit roof! It looks good without the "bubble" The headlights and the air slits above the fender have also to be reshaped. The new cockpit looks fantastic, I hope that I can do it nearly as well in real terms in 1/24 scale! I hope that this project will end successfully! Regards Andreas
  16. Hello Vesa, i finally bought one! It terrible kit - i think wenn it is ready only 20% will be left from the original. The windscreen has not the right location - it must be moved 3 mm down. I have to cut off the whole cockpit. Made some progress with the cockpit itself. Regards Andreas
  17. Hello Steve these curvy, rounded shapes are still difficult and time consuming for me. I lack practice, and so many unnecessary attempts are made! Your versatile skills are admirable, like working with wood, metal, and resin. This Räumboot will be a stunning model! Cheers Andreas
  18. Unfortunately, I don't have much time, so my progress is very slow! The rear superstructure is finally finished. However, the boats have not yet been glued on, they are "stolen" from my first model and will receive some fine-tuning. They fit very well between the turrets and the front superstructure. All the small deck details turned out also very good. They are all glued on individually - because of the wooden deck. Regards Andreas
  19. When I look at the models of the big manufacturers, I notice how sloppily they are designed. Partly with ridiculous issues, such as Trumpeters Graf Spee's upside-down stern anchor. Although they have both financial and human resources, and yet the results are a disgrace compared to your work! Regards Andreas
  20. Hello Vesa! Very nice built! One advice: Do not glue the 2 big air inlets on the rear hood before spraying, otherwise the decals will be very difficult to attach. Regards Andreas
  21. I use original shipyard plans for my SMS FdG model, but these are only 2-dimensional (side view and top view), with the side view only being one-sided, which makes things difficult with such an asymmetrical design! But if you work through the plans and photos, and then translate them into 3D, you get to know many small details as if you had visited the real ship. It's not that comprehensive for me, since I only designed the superstructure and deck details.. It's a virtual tour of the ship!
  22. Another fantastic rendition! I admire your clean way of building models. Thanks for sharing! Andreas
