  1. Great job Neil. I have really enjoyed watching this build take shape. Despite what's we've said about the diminutive proportions of the canopy, overall I think it's a good looking plane. Cheers, Mike
  2. That's a really nice Lightning with an eye-catching paint scheme. Love the fact that the finish is so much like polished ally that you can see the reflection of the over-wing tank in the wing itself. Mike H
  3. Hi Neil, That's looking really good. I get what you say regarding the diminutive size of the canopy. I always thought that the B-36 canopy looked small but this is tiny. That's a great colour scheme and will definitely brighten up the display cabinet. Cheers Mike
  4. I'm so glad that you persisted with this one til' it was finished. I'm into my vintage bikes and this to me is a very high quality build. You have not only superbly captured the finish of a vintage Brough but some of your photos could fool many into thinking it was the full size machine. Regards Mike
  5. Hi Neil. Appreciate the thanks for the emblem. It was an absolute pleasure to do. Must say that I'm really enjoying these latest builds of yours as they're unusual and have interesting stories behind them. I was particularly taken with the Albacore flown by Peter Butterworth and the Channel Airways Heron you flew in as a child. This build's looking great so far. Keep it up mate & I look forward to seeing the end result. Regards Mike
  6. I'm with Simon on this. The nose U/C has sorted it. I think the stance/sit is just right now. Nice work. Regards Mike
  7. This is excellent. I'm going to send a link to my parents who are (still) Lightning nuts. They were both in the RAF and met at Coltishall in 1962 when the Tigers were operating from there. Regards Mike
  8. What a superb build. This is something really special. Mike
  9. I'm really enjoying this build Nick. Great progress so far & I'm looking forward to seeing how it all comes together. Regards Mike
  10. Brilliant! This is a belter with the most stunning paintwork. Thanks Mike
  11. Astounding work. The model and its presentation are of the highest quality. Thanks Mike
  12. This is an excellent build and one that I am grateful to you for presenting on Britmodeller. It's of particular interest to me as I was an airframe mechanic on 92 Squadron in the 1980's and worked on this very aircraft. You have captured the look of a working Toom really well and I the 'aircraft armed' sign, Nav's ladder and base really sets it off nicely. You have just taken me back 35 years and I thank you for it. Regards Mike
