  1. Yes I think that might be a good idea i have just started this kit its great but as Sean stated care with construction is essential

For what it may be worth with regard to engineering of the periscope sight on the Arado 240 there were indeed development problems according to various sources * " One problem was target detection by the gunner & subsequent tracking, despite 1.6 x magnification by the viewfinder, and an even more serious problem was presented by the icing up of the periscope heads when tested under high altitude conditions at Gottingen. After much experimentation, the later difficulty was finally solved by means of pumping pre-dried air into the sighting head through a chlorine-calcium filter, and it was ascertained that by this method it was possible to keep the sights free of ice up to an altitude of 9800m " Similar problems were also encountered on the competitor LGW LA 4 system as fitted to the Bf162 * source : Aircraft of the Third Reich by William Green vol one 2010
