  1. Good Morning my friends. After the Fencer I built this little beast : the 1/35 TOS-1 A from Trumpeter. Very fun to build it because of the "million pieces" for the tracks.. you know what I mean. The model was converted to the type built for the Algerian Army (extra armour protection on the front and the sides as well as the T-72 B3 and T-90's are equiped with, note the tos is mounted on a T-72 chassis). No after market needed as curiously the extra parts where provided in the kit ! GOOD INVESTMENT 😁.The number plates where made by myself on printed decals .. as usual. Cheers. now some pictures of the real beast : The model :
  2. Thanks ! why kongo ?. LOL got a job there to earn enough money to buy 250 + kits 🤣
  3. Hello my friends, Six months after returnig home from DR Congo and 3 weeks of COVID, I was able to restart my zorks on the workbench. Now, I present to you this build. The 1/48 Sukhoi SU-24 Fencer from Trumpeter with the Algerian Air Force markings. I must confess; this kit is a great disappointement. It needs a lot of work of corrections and putty. I uesd eduards exterior PE, it was necessary... Algerian roundels and serial numbers are home made decals. I used Tamiya acrylics with this composition : for the light blue : XF2 (Flat white 95%) + X4 (Blue 5%). For the khaki/brownish : XF49 (Khaki 80%) + XF10 (Flat brown 20%). And finally just for the green : XF61 (Dark Green). Here is a picture of a real Algerian Fencer before they painted them with Desert camo : The model : Cheers !
  4. hi ! Well... the only word I could say about your work is : A W S O M E !!!🖐️😉
  5. hello I ordered this kit today with interior PE from Eduard (but made for Hobby Boss Kit.. hoping it will fit). I will make a what if ... Algerian Air Force colours (in reality the Fullback will be acquired this year or later - 2021) but for now I don't know what camo would be put on that big bird. some say same as the Su-24s. cheers !
  6. Hello my dear friends. I present to you my latest build : the 1/35 SAM-6 from Trumpeter. An old kit manufactured in 2005.. and very problematic by the conception, the quality and the building plan. I had tho clean and reajust many parts for good fitting and the missiles... ooooh dear... . some rubber pipes had to be mounted in a certain shape but that was impossible to do. Sadly this kit was disappointing. I did the best I could. cheers
  7. awsome !! 🤩 the weathering is very nice !
  8. First class ?? realy !!! Thanks John. !!!
  9. Hello. T-55 A finished. will post some pictures of the painting/weathering steps in the appropriate topic. cheers !! 🖐️
  10. splendid ! I love those scratch conversion and improvement works ! 👍
  11. thanks my friend ! I had to drill only a dozen of links. i think it's a mistake or a miss in miniarts moulds ... the links are "ready".. in theroy . and what concerns the paint (used Tam acrylics) 1- i started with a base coat of a mix of yellow desert and yellow (I had mustard color LOL) 1.a.-then added a few white to the mix to obtain the right color I wanted. with that miw i made a light coat for the pannels etc... 2- the weathering began with a chipping . using dark green... used a tiny piece of sponge 2.a.- the rust was made by myself : a mix of black yellow red and metallic grey + gloss vanish. applied with a brush + coat of gloss vanish 2.b. - then added some brown pannel line (Tamiya). added a coat of gloss vanish again .. after that I used Mig pigments (medium rust) 2.c.- another coat of gloss + north africa dust (pigment and ended with a mix of 20% gloss / 80% mat vanish
  12. thanks Stef I was going to give-up and use the original from Tam !.. finally I made it (and it's the very first time i use workable tracks) .. I'm happy with the result.
  13. This is what I’m building now. A t-55 A from Tamiya with ABER PE parts. I’m making a represantation of one of the many Algerian army armors which participated in the Yom Kippour War in 1973. Sorry if the pictures are too big. This is an original pîcture of algerian T-55 A heading to the egyptian front I started buy buliding the tracks and the wheels. It took 2 days (12h work) to attach all the links and the wheels from MINIART were very hard to adapt to the Tamiya kit Painting and weathering (and chipping) Now I’m buliding the remaining PE parts made for the top section Cheers . 🖐️🙂
  14. thanks ! and yes just wires + LEDS + Batteries. but it was hard to put the leds properly in the plastic parts (making room for them and the wires by using a dremel).
  15. LIGHTS CAMERA ANNND ACTION ! (lighting system done.. finally) cheers !

  17. Hello my friends. I ordered the Big Ed detailing set for 1/32 Tamiya F-14 Tomcat But I ordered the aircraft kit from Trumpeter manufacturer instead Tamiya. My question is would they fit together or am I asked to do some cuttings etc. . Thanks for your help.
  18. Well yes because algerian army (ground forces) uses russian equipement but there are some other equipements coming from Germany (the Fuchs-2 APC from Rheinmetal company now built in Algeria with mercedes army trucks) , USA (a few), Italy (helicopter carrier), From England as the EH-101, Lynx, etc ... and of course China as the Plz-45 howitzer, and warships and many others. I'm sure you will reach your dreams my friend. Be patient i started with one or two models per year. Keep modelling !
