  1. Thanx Stephen It was the most fun scheme in the Lindenhill decal sheet
  2. Thanx Will Yup, subassemblies are the way with this kit. Considering it is a folded up mecha you really have to keep that in mind when painting and weathering it
  3. Thanx Roland I experimented a lot with different techniques and kept an eye on the refs to get that worn feeling you can really only see on NMD Flankers due to the climate. Thanx James
  4. I like building Scifi, mostly Star Wars and lately lots of Warhammer 40k but sometimes I dabble with the anime Macross. This is a VF-J Valkyrie Varitech Fighter in 1/48th scale from Hasegawa. I built it OOB but decided for a paintjob of my own. I went with a TPS-ish rugged finish. Why? Because I love it! 😛 well here ya go guys 😄 Cheers!
  5. Thanx Vultures it came together nicely Thanx RMCS very kind of you
  6. Thanx exdraken The objekt was so very weathered that I felt that the model would look severely over weathered if I did it that way.....so I actually held back on the weathering Thanx Mike Quite pleased with how it turned out
  7. Thanx SAT69 I like doing the pits.... this I actually used the cockpit decals for
  8. Thanx Wolfhound And it was FUN to dirty it up!
  9. Agree, it is nice to socialize with fellow nerds and haggle with dealers
  10. Let's get that dirty northern russian Flanker onstage then Rather happy with how the Flanker turned out..of course there are small issues here and there but on the whole I´m pleased. It got me a Brons at C4 at Malmö so I guess others like it too ( it didn´t get squat here in gothenburg in september ... guess they didn´t like it 😜 ) 😛 It was a very pleasing build, it went together nicely and the small incorrections in the kit itself were survivable. I added a wee bit of aftermarket to it like engines, bang seat, pitot tube and static dischargers (that seem to fall off all over the place), wheels and nice decals from Linden hill. I tried both MRP and AKAN paints for the first time and I like both...tho I think i fell in love with MRP 😛 Anyways here are loads of lovely pictures 😄 Cheers!
  11. Such a lovely iron tadpole! It is looking massive and the it is a gloriously dirty TPS scheme and judging by the photo of the real thing you could have gone even further into weathering heaven Fantastic work!
  12. Wow! That is massive! Awesome job putting it together I'm deeply impressed! A bit of lighting and some weathering and it would have cleaned out the house at that model show! Looking forward to the next beast!
  13. Sad grey it is too yes I noticed the flanker too when I researched ...nah I did my Flanker as a really weathered workhorse from the northern military district I can pop it in later someday
  14. Thanx Pete Time to add some styrene to the hoard then
  15. Thanx Reini Thanx mate, you did have a hand inte finishing of that kit, remember? Dragan is a good friend and superb builder....he has eyes like a hawk and points you to bettering here and there. Invaluable! Thanx exdraken indeed I'm drawn to schemes that are a bit out of the ordinary. not a clue...if so it is sad, I prefer colourful jets
  16. Thanx Russ Thanx James I agree..... but I like them dirty in TPS too
