That's some really nice work. As others have said, the engine exhaust stains are very well done; quite convincing.

Very nicely done. Nice to see weathering that's convincing rather than overdone.

Congratulations on an excellent effort.

Beautifully done. I got to see the real airplane before it was removed from Memphis.

Beautiful model. I got to see a VC-10 take off at Altus AFB Oklahoma back in the mid 70s. I too recall the very loud takeoff roar. Our water injection boosted KC-135As couldn't compare. 🙂

Beautiful work on a kit that I often found challenging.

They'll tool something that they can put the markings of various nations on.
That would rule out the F-86H. Those were stationed in France and Germany, but surely they must have visited the UK a few times. Whether Airfix would go that far out on a limb I don't know, but I ain't afraid to dream.

Excellent work. Is the missing air refueling door cover representative of the same configuration on the real airplane?

Very nice. Got me wanting to build one. I love the cockpit instrument panel.

A natural metal Super Mystere is a sight to behold. Gorgeous model and perhaps my favorite French jet fighter.

Beautiful work despite what you started with.

Beautiful! Not too garish and splendidly finished. I'm impressed!

It appears you can build one of two variants from the one kit.

A very attractive build!

I think you've nailed NM, ignoring the the beautifully rendered other details.
That's a superb effort. Photographed in natural light it would be difficult to tell it isn't real.

Beautifully done! Is that a Soviet turret? It does not look standard to me, so I'd be interested in how you modified it. Also, what paints did you use? Akan? Zip? Jim Scale? It looks like the paint went on very well.
I was thinking the same thing. The upper turret looks very much oversize. The model, on the other hand, is great!

Some time ago, in response to a comment requesting a 1/48 scale F-86H, they responded, twice in the same response, they would seriously consider it. It would be in keeping with their tendency to produce models of not quite lesser know airplanes produced by North American Aviation. I'mm certainly hoping it's the Sabre H.

The tanker I was the assigned crew chief on was 57-1462. I served under another crew chief on 57-1429.

Didn't know there was a Canberra still flying. Would have loved to see that!

Love the Hurricane photos.

I served with the 11th Air Refueling Squadron before there was a 340th Air Refueling Group and after that group was activated. Your photos bring great memories.
