  1. This is really incredible. I have buit at least 10 Ju88s before and this has never happenend to me. Quite embarassing actually..
  2. This is Erich Sommer`s Ju88T-1. Base kit was a Ju88A-4 from Dragon. The nose is a vac form part from Squadron. The bottom gondola was removed and the BMW engines were from a Dragon Ju88 G-1 kit. There is a video on YT with personal footage of Erich Sommer. It can easily be found if you look for: WW2 ERICH SOMMER LUFTWAFFE ARADO 234 JET PILOT. HOME MOVIES T9+FH can be seen from 09:01 to 10:03. What I see is: The mottle on the upper is clearly lighter than the under side. So I decided to give the aircraft a base paint of 70/71 over 65. It can also be seen that the fuselage cross and the FH is applied over the mottle and not around it. I can not see a swastika either. So I guess that the aircraft was factory delivered without any markings and the mottle and thereafter the markings were locally applied. Just a guess, of course. The exhausts are from Quickboost and the camera windows, the brake lines and the antenna were scratchbuilt. The frames of the vac form nose were made from decal paper which was painted in 65 and 70 and then cut into strips. Thanks for looking Volker
  3. The main colour on my model is RAF Dark Green with OD only in the center of the upper wings (the area of the overpainted invasion stripes). It is also possible that the wings were painted RAF DG all over and the underlyling invasion stripes only changed that colour.
  4. This is the Airfix kit of the P-51D. An enjoyable kit without any issues. Built completelely OOB with Montex masks and kit decals. Lou IV is one of the "Bottisham Four", a famous colour foto of 1944 which can be easily found in the internet. Paints are Gunze, Tamiya and Alclad. Thanks for looking Volker
  5. Welcome from Braunschweig! I use imgbox.com for uploads. It is good and it is free.
  6. That is a very nice model. I had the same problem with Eagle Cal decals on my last build and will avoid them in the future.
  7. Many models i see are over-wheathered but yours is a lot cleaner. Fantastic result!
  8. I have never tried a helicopter but your build is really inspiring me to try one.
  9. No, there are no rivets and the panel lines are engraved. It was this kit (2004): https://www.scalemates.com/de/kits/hasegawa-08073-focke-wulf-fw190a-5--103402
  10. This is Hasegawa`s Fw190A-5, an old kit which is not up to today`s standards with regard to detailing, but with good shape and fit. Decals are a mix of Hasegawa and Eagle Cal. The checkerboard and the black sides of the fuselage were spray painted, the camo was done freehand with paints by Gunze and Tamiya. The seatbelts are from HGW, they look great but are a pita to assemble. Brake lines and gear indicators were added. Thanks for looking Volker
  11. That looks great. I was just going to ask where you display it when I read you sold it. I built an A-4 in 1/32 this year and I also sold it for lack of shelf space.
  12. Nice model with an interesting scheme. The rudder did not necessarily belong to another aircraft, many late war 109 had this feature. The aircraft were assembled from prefabricated and prepainted subassemblies and a supplier firm of the rudders did not spray the paint but handpainted the rudders. It can be seen on many late production 109.
