  1. Nice one. It looks very good for such a small kit. You certainly did a neat job on the heat shield.
  2. That really looks very nice and the background helps a lot. Very nice indeed! I just got hold of the Revell 1/48 jobbie today.
  3. It would certainly make life easier for me too
  4. Very, very nice! How did you make the sea? how did you paint it? More, more, more!!!
  5. That is beautiful!!! It needs some groundcrew / crew around it.
  6. The Whippet certainly looks nice. What did you paint it with and what colour?
  7. How the HELL have I lost a 1/96 Cutty Sark?????
  8. I take it that "self levelling" won't fill in the panel lines?
  9. Ah I see. Some kind of brace for the mast? I'm happy to be corrected! Looks like it's all okay Ollie. Actually, I have the Revel 1/96 version up the loft somewhere. I'll dig out the instructions and post what they show if that would help anyone.
  10. That's a great looking collection. Very well painted!
  11. Hi Ollie, This is looking great! However mate, I would say that the breakwater on the bow is the wrong way round though (the black V part)... i.e the sharp end of the V should be point on to the bow and Bowsp'rit. I've never seen one that way round. The breakwater collects all the water coming over the bow and diverts it to the sides of a ship, often with a hole to allow the water to disperse out back to the sea if part of the hull is in the way. This one would concentrate all the water right onto the main deck. I hope you haven't glued it down. I stand to be corrected.
  12. Yeah, I see it. it has a very slight dark blue line around it. Hopefully It won't be noticeable unless pointed out.
  13. That an interesting way to do chipping. How on earth did you think of using Marmite for this?
  14. Nice job on the decal repair. Was it another piece of decal?
  15. [Ohcrapohcrapohcrap] I'm now almost too scared to admit... I just used Tamiya X-4 Blue and XF-7 Flat Red straight from the bottle.
  16. Gordon Bennet etc! That is amazing. It must be huge.
  17. No Hi-jack at all mate... Crack on! If the decal pics taken in daylight (or what pathetically passes as daylight here recently) were too bright how could I dim/shade them down? A few passes of Tamiya Smoke?
  18. Hmmm. These pics were taken by Flash. Time to have a look and maybe get some pics in natural light.
  19. Excellent start mate. These wee sailing ships can look superb once built.
  20. Nah Phil, you should be safe enough, Midge wise anyway. I think all the evil wee bastar poor beasties have drowned this year... Shame innit!
  21. That really looks the DB's! Great job!
