  1. Details here should you change your mind. https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235012874-hawker-hunters-with-napalm/
  2. Not sure if its Doppler or just a generic fitting for test gubbins..Possibly a camera fit at one time given its role for Porton Down stuff? Easy enough mod in its basic form like this though.
  3. Looks like it in your photo but difficult to judge. Push it back in a couple of mils if you haven't glued it,leave it if you have. Your work spurred me into digging out a couple from the shelf of doom..looked at them and left them for moment..they're 14 and 15 in the serial starter list!.
  4. Ah yes..the long lamented Farley Fruitbat Mk XXVIa. although there is some doubt as to whether they were actually delivered or were (possibly still are) stored in a shed in Brecqhou due to the embargo. Which kit are you using for the Etendard?
  5. I'm off now to look at the section in Jane's book of French Weapons in the Falklands war. 31st February next year after the Denny-Mumford helicopter build. My Wessex HU5 will be Regent's cab in the 1968 period simply because its got my initials on the tail and I like the sand and spinach scheme.
  6. I thought I had seen something written about a Landrover, perhaps one of the local's own one though. Argentinian land based Exocet.
  7. Lots of photos in here too, including some shiny clean ones https://www.cybermodeler.com/aircraft/ka-27/ka-27_all.shtml My reference earlier to things getting easier meant that you started with quite a complex helicopter. Next one has to be a Wessex then you can pencil yourself in for the 2020 group build of the Denny-Mumford helicopter.
  8. A 1/48 SS Canberra, rust streaked with a Wessex on the helideck ? No..ok a Rapier unit with its Landrover then.
  9. They will all be easy after this one! Have you seen this site? https://www.net-maquettes.com/pictures/kamov-ka-27-walkaround/
  10. Ach weel ! I'll need to get my pal Billy ( )to stop you at the border to suss out the ground then .
  11. Welcome aboard Mark. I was looking for an emoji with hysterical laughter when I read that line as I'm lucky if finish one a year!. Don't even ask about 'serial kit starters'
  12. No because it is not a round bubble. Several builds and one conversion set have got this wrong. They made a square window with a round bubble in the middle. The actual window curves more from top to bottom than it does at the sides with the curve starting at the frame edge. EDIT: @perdu has the shape correct in that rarely seen door window. See here.
  13. Oh I don't know..she will like the sunrise/sunset (fond memories of west coast Scotland and all that) and those props would come in handy during the summer. Surely in 3 months she will have forgiven me..won't she?
  14. Hello and welcome Jase. Although I don't build ships,I have to admire some of the work in here and I look forward to seeing some of your stuff
  15. This is all for a -6 but may be of use https://www.seawings.co.uk/Catalina-RDAF-L-866gal.htm
  16. A picture is better than words! http://photobucket.com/gallery/user/Amoskeeto/media/bWVkaWFJZDoyMDY4MDI3MQ==/?ref=
  17. From UK serials 16/10/1981 XR509 AK Wessex HC2 72 Sqn Fell on to its side during a ground run at Odiham, Hampshire. To 8752M at Benson Probably as a result of ground resonance to which the Wessex was susceptible
  18. and as they say on this side of the wall 'Lang may yer lum reek'
  19. Here's an ex-Bristow Mk60 in service with the Armada Nacional del Uruguay)
  20. In this shot notice that it appears there is no roundel. It is hidden by the open door. and a lovely line up
  21. Hello and welcome @Tigerman60 Quite a few folk work in 1/72 here
  22. Hope you don't mind me sharing another Granddaughter story. Over the last few hours she was gathering up bits and pieces and wouldn't tell her mum or dad what she was up to until she had finished then she announced that she was flying to Scotland to see Granny and Grandpa!
