  1. Thanks for the kind words lads! Tentacles...... it was my first plane for 40 years, I’d done a few cars as a warm up so I should’ve done a fair job ToonarmY...... yes tbh these old tooled Airfix are a load of poo-poo, test your patience & aren’t that well detailed. The 1:32 Revell, Tamiya etc are a world apart, I’ll do one soon. HOUSTON....... thanks!!!!!
  2. No matter what your religious persuasion I hope you all share a bit of peace & goodwill & hopefully get a few days off ......... & if ya really lucky someone gifts you a nice kit
  3. Yeah that looks much better, good call! can you get scale pie tin decals for them, like Magnum, TNT, Command, 440 etc?
  4. I know Mopar R/B’s inside & out & that finished engine is just awesome! Especially impressed with the HP ram horn manifolds & the Carter AFB, just brilliant work! Are you going to add any clutch & shift linkage?
  5. it’s this one, released in’14 I think? My dealers probably had it in stock for a few years hence the discount! Looks like a bubbletop to me?
  6. Thanks for the offer when I pick it up I’ll let you know. Just about to check out your thread
  7. An incredible response! Thank you so much I'm reading now sir!
  8. My local model shop has a new version of this on sale at £60, seems a great deal. I’ve seen a couple of YouTube reviews that rate it pretty highly but thought I’d ask opinions on here before I commit myself to it!
  9. Tamiya XF-65 tan is lighter than a camel or biscuit colour & suits interiors very well, also easy to source & use
  10. Don’t know how I missed this one! I’m a committed Mopar man, you’ve nailed the floorpan, engine bay & interior details. The kit looks very accurate in most places, better than I would have thought, you happy with it? The paint is awesome
  11. That’s sweet It’s nice to see someone else in to the big scale cars, I’m a huge fan of the 1/8 Monogram/Revell/Lindberg street cars & rods.

    Paint Pens

I’d like to know too, I’ve used plenty of chrome paint pens by Molotow, very good. A dark graphite, black, dark brown would be great for panel lines etc
  13. Thanks Spitfire31, it’s a bit lacking in fit & finish & could’ve benefited from a lot more derails, but it’s not a bad start. ......whats next? A vintage Eldon Pink Panther car
  14. https://www.scalemates.com/profiles/mate.php?id=48798&p=albums&album=52111#1 not quite right but at least you can see I made something
