  1. Sorry Don, Dad had 3 years at Luqa, 64-67, in the Ops room before being posted back to St Mawgan. Chris
  2. Nice to hear of a new Beaufort kit. Once I have finished my versions of the 240 sqn Catalina and 42 Sqn Shackleton MR2, my Dad flew in. I would like to do Flt Lt Kenneth Terry’s 42 sqn Beaufort. He was awarded his DFC flying from Leuchars in 1941 and his niece was a client of my wife’s gardening business so there is another personal connection. Next? How about a Lincoln so I can do Q Queenie of 61/144(b) squadron? 😂😂
  3. Is that an RAF Luqa badge you use as your avatar, Don? My Dad was in the Ops room there from 1964-67. We lived in a flat in Msida. Btw, my name is Chris.
  4. Hi from a fellow newbie. 😎
  5. An ancient newbie who hasn't built a model since he was 15 which was over half a century ago. After a house move I have a man cave where I can read, listen to music and return to model making. My late father served in the RAF between 1943 and 1973 which has influenced my choice of models; the aircraft Dad flew in and the one's that I saw at those stations as I was growing up. I have a small starter kit to get my mojo back, then I am researching and planning an RAF Catalina 1 of 240 squadron’s Special Duties Flight, 1945. A tribute to the courageous crew that Dad flew in during some long and dangerous operations in the Far East during World War 2. Hello everyone, thanks for allowing me into this community.
