Well, I hit a bit of a brick wall of sorts. After all that work, I went to add the canopy and realized it looked all wrong. The wings are too far forward. I have to face the sad realization that I've got to rebash this bash. This was as far as I got.....
  2. While I've been watching paint dry, I've started a new project. This project started out with the Revell F-15E and F/A-18F. Here's how it looks after about 1 day's worth of cutting and reassemblying.
  3. Having spent time around them while I was in the USN, I must say you've captured the look and feel of the Prowler. Great work!

Today I sprayed gray primer for the finally look and fix before painting.

I had started this about a year ago, but the original idea didn't look right. Finally the inspiration I was looking for appeared and this is what came of it.
  6. I like this idea very much. Great looking build as well.
  7. And the last F-15 for the evening is the Arctic Eagle (1/144), refitted to land on ice.
  8. Still a WIP is the F-15SE (single engine). This one stalled because I didn't really care for the paintwork, so I started over. Screwed it up and started over again.. I'll get it right this weekend Before After and till the 2nd restart. I will try to replicate this scheme.
  9. After some time of being away, I thought some of you might like to see what I've been doing for the past few months. First off, a F-15 that I had displayed at work, but did sometime ago when I wasn't going the little extra mile to make a model look half decent. The more I looked at it, the more I felt I could fix it up a bit. Plus i needed a victim for my paint scheme experiments. Before After
  10. The Wellington HG is done. I named her Lola after my recently departed 20yr.old cat. This is not a museum piece but it is a labor of friendship. A build like this would have normally taken quite a bit longer if I had gone into deeper detail, but that was not the intention of this build. I wanted a subject that looked good in a simple way and I hope I've achieved it. Anyway one looks at it, I did in rememberance of Gary. Here's how the bomb bay looks with various payloads
  11. Yes it is Mish. Thank you. I hope to be done real soon... Her she is up on the gear ..
  12. It's looking like I might get this done by Dec. 31 as planned. Here's how it looks right now. more paint Since I didn't have the decals I needed, I've had to cobble some together. The nose gear doors fashioned out of some scrap plastic
  13. I hadn't planned on using yellow, but this one screams for something flashly. The yellow went on fairly easy after 2 coat on a heavy white primer. This camo might scare some, but my intuition ( voices..whatever;) ) have taken over and I'm on a roll. I have 10 days to finish this creation as of today. This is the first coat of paint with a surprise finish later.
  14. I want to thank y'all for the expression of sympathies for our loss of Lola. That is very kind.... The painting has begun and I'm doing it the old fashion way. With a brush.
  15. Good call. That has been suggested and that's what I'm going to go with. I there a site where I can get a good look at this scheme?
