  1. Glad you like it. Correction duly noted and performed. Please accept my humble apologies. Jon
  2. You’re very kind. I have just realised that I’ve not shown the ammo belts, I’ll post another photo tomorrow. Actually, the detail is not, I think, very good. If you zoom in is not so good. But, as with a lot of fine detail, it’s what the eye sees, not what the lenses sees. Jon
  3. That looks really good, lovely finish. I wish I had more courage to do multi wing. I've done one, but haven't plucked up the courage to do another. Jon
  4. This has been a fun build, LOTS of detail and everything went together as you would expect from Tamiya. I used Tamiya AS12 Bare Metal Silver spray paint for the overall colour, as per instructions. An expensive way to paint a kit, it took a whole can, but it covered well (no primer) and gave a good finish. Nice to not have to gloss prior to applying decals, as this silver colour is semi gloss. There were three variants of this aircraft in the box, but I've got British, American, French and German aircraft, so I went for the Korean variant. I think it looks ok, and I think I'm getting better. I hope you enjoy looking at these pictures. Jon
  5. Good afternoon. Another sunny & hot lockdown day. FINISHED. More photos in 'Ready For Inspection' I hope you've enjoyed this built, I did. Jon
  6. Good Afternoon, from a sunny and hot West of England. I hope you are all well. I gave the plane a quick spray yesterday and finished the can of AS12 paint, good coverage from this paint, but it is expensive. I doubt I'll use Tamiya spray cans again, for that reason. Anyway, today I have applied all the underside decals, all very tiny and not easily seen. As you can see, I also fitted the bombs and rockets and finally put its wheels on. Jon Underside decals and coloured lights. So, for tomorrows task, I will be fitting the upper decals touching up any paint work and finishing up. At least that's the plan. I then will post a few photos on RFI.
  7. Good Afternoon. I hope you are all well. This is one of moments of madness, I looked at this and thought 'those should be holes' (its the grill over the air intake)so I decided to drill them out. It was one of those jobs, that you wished you'd never started. Jon But I started and there was no going back. Got there in the end, now for the other side. The prop looks good, I think. I didn't bother to paint the hub, or put decals on it, as it disappears under the spinner. Masked up and ready for a coat of paint. A silver aeroplane. I used Tamiya AS12 spray paint as per the instructions, good job its a nice day, very smelly. And quite an expensive, as used took nearly the whole tin. It might need a quick second coat, but I'll wait until its hardened off tomorrow and see. Glad I drilled all those holes now, much better than little dents.
  8. Good afternoon, fellow lockdowners. We have wheels. This is for wheels up, which will be useful when I spray the aircraft. At least I won't have to mask up the landing gear bays.
  9. Afternoon, hope you are all well. Bullet delivery tubes attached to guns. Flaps and ailerons also fitted. Aileron assembly Finally, it looks like a Mustang.
  10. I have to say that looks amazing. You are SO right about taking photos and seeing all the little errors, but at least they disappear (sort of). I thought my 1/32 Mustang was large, but your Hellcat makes it look like a miniature. Lovely work and get well soon. Jon
  11. Greetings fellow humans. Little bit of work today, things are progressing nicely. Rear wheel stowed. And extended. I did wonder why I had installed two magnets into the space for this wheel. Now I know, you make two assemblies, one with the wheel stowed and one with the wheel lowered. These assemblies are then held in by the magnets, so you can have the aircraft displayed 'in flight' with wheels up on the included stand, or with wheels lowered. The next show the main undercarriage bays, and the empty shell case ejection slots in the wing. Then we have the ammo belts before and after installation in the wings. Not too pleased with the painting of the bullets, but they are so very small and my eyes are old. Thats all folks, hopefully more tomorrow. Jon
  12. Good afternoon Peeps. First we have the air intake and then the frame to support the engine cover. Swiftly followed by metal hinges for the rudder and elevators, yes, peeps, 1/32 scale metal hinges. Amazing. Jon Next, is the rudder hinges, thin metal bars with PE hinges. And it works. It works. Followed by the same hinge arrangement for the elevators.
  13. Good Morning Peeps. Fitted the exhaust and dry fitted the engine covers. This cover clips into place. This one is held in place by a small magnet, located inside the framework. And this is the pair in place. Obviously, they will fit better when the nose is on and the top cover can clip in.
  14. Good Morning Peeps. I hope you are all well. The following are yesterdays efforts, it's starting to look like an aircraft. Jon
  15. Now, this was a fiddle. The gunsight, made of 5 parts, I am just very grateful to have my magnifying light. And mounted above the instrument panel. Next, we have the cockpit attached to the engine. And last the right hand frame of the cockpit, this part attaches to the inner of the fuselage.
  16. Probably just chuck a bottle of wash at it, and job done
  17. Ah, the mysterious world in the internet, glad you got to see the photos and thanks for the comments. From what I gather ZM are going to produce an HS129 with bigger gun. Jon
  18. I pointed Google Translate at it, I said it was Chinese, but couldn't seem to settle on a phrase.
  19. I’m going to have to translate the nose art script.
  20. Last bits for the day. Instrument panel with pedals and seat.
