Hi all, i think i read it in the depths of another thread, but to those who havent seen it, Eduard are offering FREE canopy replacements for their 1/32 BF109E-4 with free postage. They are also offering 20% discount to any order placed at the same time as the canopy as well as free shipping. Isn't it just a missing panel line in the nose cone that is throwing the proportions slightly? The HB kit gives a ring to add between the main fuselage section and the nose cone. But looking there is another "extension ring" after that. Basically a panel line is missing on the rear of the nose cone which would scale the nose cone correctly no?

Hase have done all the work..... some minor adjustments have to be made for the asac7 as they modelled the AEW2

Well it arrived from Japan this morning. I haven't got any scale plans, but from i can see its a nice improvement over the IDS. I haven't taken shots of all the sprues, just those that gave the most concern to some...

I believe the slides would have only been looked at by my grandfather as to be honest the rest of the family on that side, was never really interested. The slides were all filed in a nice dark atache case, so hence why i think they are still in great condition. After some research i opted for a flatbed photo scanner over a dedicated slide one, as it would become redundant after all the scanning has been done. I opted for the Epson V300.. a bargain at £80 i'd say. First time i've scanned slides as well

Hi Everyone. Myself and my sisters have recently been going through my late grandfathers slide collection. Much to my delight i discovered a small collection of pictures labelled "Farnborough 1950 -59". My grandfather used to work for DeHavilland at Hatfield in the engine department as foreman, and later with rolls royce at Leavesden. Hi all, I wonder if someone can help. I'm getting the final bits and bobs together for a second nimrod build. Undecided between an R1 and an early white top. On the R1 side of things, has anyone any pics of the R1 bomb bay, or is it loaded with electronics best kept from prying eyes?? I have A2zee's replacement but would it be a waste of time fitting it to an R1?? Chris

Hi all, the "bombing" at Lossie this morning was actually the tactical role demonstration practice for this years display season. Was Notam'd the day before. Usually display practices are done nice and early before the usual days flying commences. Nothing seen in the Notams for tomorrow (14th). I'll be heading up on Thursday.... Chris

Kit manufacture: Hasegawa Scale: 1/48 Type: AEW2 Seaking converted to ASaC7 Extras used: A2Zee Deflated radome, Airwaves filter, Flightpath bits and pieces. Model Alliance decals. Paints and colours used:Tamiya MSG, Nato Black, White, red etc.. Citadel Metallics Hi all, I'm sure some of you may agree with me that the Seaking is probably one of the most interesting variants of Heli currently in service due to all the different mods that are and have been produced. In the past i have tried to convert the Hasegawa kit to represent a Westland airframe, but to no real success. Then Hasegawa released the AEW2 and it had to be bought and brought upto the current fit! Not much externally is different except aerial fit, radome on the spine deleted, and the sand filter. Internally is a completely different ball game, but unless you are going to hack open the doors very little can be seen. the major letdown with the kit is the absence of a deflated radome bag. However, as well as the resin part in the Flightpath set, A2Zee models have also released a fab version that can be bought alone. I thoroughly enjoyed this build and bring on the HAR3 and HC4 Hase!! Hi Colin, Thanks for the offer..... I do have some generic sheets, but they all seem to look different to the MA sheet already used, so ideally looking for the decs from the sheet mentioned above so that both sides match... Thank you anyhow

Hi everyone.. After many many many expletives, i'm requiring some replacement decals for my 1/48 ASaC7 . I was airbrushing the large exhaust stains over the decals etc, and the airbrush decided to have a fit and spit all over one side of the model! Strange as it was a really nice thin mix. For some reason the paint wouldn't be removed without what can only be described as staining and leaving patch marks... So...... does anybody have a few bits from Model alliance sheet 48152 "UK Air Arm Update 2005-2006" that i could have?? I'm needing the Royal Navy, ZD636 serial, roundel and the 82 serial for the fuselage side... (No's, 35,35a,35b, 36, 37 & 39). I'm happy to pay, or provide anything i may have for a swap, i just dont wanna fork out another £13 for only a few decals! The good side... reverse side needed I think i've managed to recover the side to be re done... Hopefully someone can help!! Chris

As hannants aren't up and running again yet, i found modelsforsale had some in i nabbed the last pot of xtracrylix forest green as well :0 Starting to collate the references, and have found numerous pics of the aircraft with and without Pave tack. The Hobbyboss kit includes the pod with all the correct fairings and the cooling duct... i think it would be rude not to put it on!! I must admit, i think Hobby Boss may well have their best release so far here! cant wait to get started!

thanks for the help guys! Couldn't find that section on f-111.net initially. Not the easiest site to navigate. Looks like the burner cans may be the only obvious external difference, but paragon do a set, so time for the hunt to begin!!
