  4. Beautiful job ....i like how youve gone for an on screen apperrance rather than the slightly overdone splinter look in the instructions
  5. Lets hope its not getting reissued due to it possibly been the most innaccurate airfix kit ever...the nose is closer to 48th than 72 🤪

  7. Xtrakit is based on a inaccurate set of plans ...the wing tips /sweep is way off and difficult to correct

  11. Anybody compared it to the pavla original? Looks pretty much the same
  12. It certainly looks better proportioned than the Anigrand kit with its way too large engine pods ! A lot of the concerns about the Anigrand kit been too short and not deep enough is due to comparisons with the Ginter plans ...which are either oversize or close to 72nd depending where the fuselage length is taken from ...the Anigrand engine pods and wings however match the Ginter drawings far more closely than the fuselage (emphasing just how out of proportion it is ) the Micro Mir kit is very underscale compared to the Ginter plans (not that it matters if they are overscale ) as long as the Mir kits wings and engine pods are in correct proportions to tge fuselage we are fine ....maybe measure the scale height of the human figures in your excellent photo comparison ...if they are only 4.5 feet tall we have a problem
  13. Its arrived ....im really hoping the 72nd scale plans in the Ginter book are overscale other wise the model is seriously underscale will do some measuring over the weekend but the fuselage is 1.5cm short in length and about 7mm to shallow in depth against the plan...looks like a xb51 though even if it does turn out to be 1/78th
