  1. Really nicely done, Rob. Have a bit of a family connection with the flower-class: my great uncle was one of 53 who lost their lives when the Japanese bombed HMS Hollyhock off the coast of Sri Lanka.
  2. Well this is rather nice! Credit: Jamie Ewan
  3. Yeah that was what I thought most likely, too, with a Hurricane I a close second. I read a little too much into the comments made about it needing a companion - assumed it would be contemporary to the Spitfire Mk I and then those two are the obvious candidates. I'm not as keen on Lufty stuff but I will probably get it because it's Kotare + I'm increasingly becoming interested in 1/32 scale stuff. I'm sure it will look great!
  4. Yeah they've confirmed on book of face that this is indeed a new tool.
  5. Well if you want to be a pedant about it, then yes; but when we still have the previous release available I suspect it will be of limited interested for many. I was clearly living in la-la land but I was hoping for a new tooling for one of Jaguar, Tonka, EE Lightning or FGR2 🤪 edit to add: am actually pleased with this release, mind. Not my favourite era but this is the pick of the bunch.
  6. Well let's hope, because for anyone primarily interested in 1:48 Cold War stuff there is nothing!
  7. The only thing of interest in what is an underwhelming announcement for me personally.
  8. A Spey Phantom would be nice, but a Tonka and/or Jag would be nicerer!
  9. I hope I don't offend any of the 1/48 haters, but I have a good feeling it's gonna be another 1/48 kit! Seriously: whatever the scale, this has to be good news.
  10. This is going to cost me a fortune in aftermarket stuff as I will want to do this beautiful thing justice! Need to hone my skills on some smaller/cheaper models before making a start, though.
  11. Definitely interested in a B as long as, unlike so many model F-35s, it is not ribbed for her pleasure in an attempt to recreate the RAM!
  12. This could tempt me into doing some Lufty stuff! Nicely done.
  13. Awesome job on both your Buccs! I might have to add a second kit to my stash now...
