  1. @exdraken Looks to be a pretty nice fit? BTW is it possible to add side to side comparison with the kit part?
  2. @danbuoy Looking good! 😊👍 And yes, masking tape belts are fast&easy way to add some interest in the cockpit.
  3. A happy ending despite bad kit decals! Maybe that was a good thing as the scheme is looking awesome. Nice build and gongrats on finishing the kit 😊
  4. @Giorgio N That masking looks pretty clever. I use foam also, but it's the bit more rougher type you find in packing materials. You can usually tuck it in the wheel wells, cockpit etc. I didn't notice any of the fixes you've made from the photos - so really good job!
  5. Thanks Martin for these fixes. If only I would remember them long enough to actually implement them in my build...😶
  6. @Jb65rams It seems like you've done your prep work well - great looking metal finish
  7. @Hook Sword kits certainly seem to have plenty of ejector pins. But I think I still like the huge towers better than the shallow recessed ones...
  8. @Hook Oh yes, gotta have some options!
  9. @Enzo the Magnificent Is that black stuff putty or paint?
  10. @Matt B Those instruments look great! Good job. Feels good to find a good reference photo of your chosen subject - nice find
  11. @Lightningboy2000 Cockpits and seats look great! Maybe open canopies to display all that nice stuff?
  12. Yeah I guess if the starting point was to build just a 'Thunderjet with swept wings' - and ending up with just 15% commonality between the aircraft, one could have re-designed the tailpipe too. But then again, I guess the whole project was way too late as it was without major rework of the tail section.
  13. @Enzo the Magnificent Thanks for the heads up! 👍 And just gotta admire the amount and pace of your builds (and quality!) - It seems you and @Hook are responsible for half of the aircrafts built in this GB
  14. @Enzo the Magnificent I like Sword kits too. It's hard not to, with the subject choices they make. But also that I enjoy working on them - you know it's gonna take little bit extra effort maybe but they have the details to look good in the end. Quite rewarding kits in that sense.
  15. @Cummulus Oh that needed some serious thinning! But the end result looks really good, well worth the effort.
  16. @TEMPESTMK5 Nice job, should look great with some paint on Have you decided the scheme yet?
  17. @Hook Yes, definitely - even if the Sword kit might not be as refined as the SH kit - are kits are for building!
  18. @Hook Starting to look like an aircraft I like the Ammo panel line washes too. The effect is not too strong - but more of a subtle and smooth.
  19. @Hook Nice, nice Yeah definitely don't want to forget the nose weight. Looks like the fuselage will glue together well?
  20. @Dennis_C Looks good to me 👍Colours have really brought all the details alive. That instrument panel is stunning!
  21. Still plenty of time - welcome aboard! Looking forwards to your build, experimenting on different metal tones sounds good.
