  10. Thanks everyone. I did enjoy the build. Specially the painting part. The decals that came in the box were already brittle and should have treated it with decal solution before taking a swim. All in all it was fun and will be a nice part of my collection of colorful phantoms. Cheers, Eric
  11. Its been awhile since I,ve finish my last model. This one is the 1/48 Hasegawa F-4F JG71 Special Painting. I used the decal that came in the box mostly for template to paint the red/black and white tulips. The decals were mostly useless since they shattered to million pieces when they are placed in warm water. I managed to use the stencils and had to place them like jigsaw puzzle when I fished out the shattered pieces. There was one that was almost useless. This one is the port side 37+86 with the "6" being made up of 5 small pieces. Aftermarket items were scraps from black box cockpit to busy up the cockpit, resin nozzles from Joe Lortie's ebay site, and intake plugs from 2Mikes resin. Paints are acrylic Tamiya and Gunze Aqueaous. Sorry for the lousy pics taken hurriedly from my i-phone Here are the in-progress pictures. My link Cheers, Eric
