  1. Still if you compare the Heller clear parts with the Italeri kit you notice how close they are regarding the width of the fuselage on Italeri kits Regards Armando
  2. Hi there Rob You know that because of you I got the other day a Blackdog Fire Drone, yes my mistake as I want one for mine Vietnam War models collection This one https://www.scalemates.com/kits/black-dog-a72058-aqm-34-firebee--1214914 Mayor influence from this kit https://www.scalemates.com/kits/dml-2513-jian-ji5--1189217 Regards Armando
  3. Hi Boman Well I been trying to convince myself to do that (cast a master) for Gironixix Resins LTD very typical of our own projects, so If you need one in 1/72 scale then contact me privately and I send it to you because you are the one who push be a bit to do it (easy fellow I am) Maybe you can help with more photos to help speed project to be shipped next January 2022 Regards Armando
  4. I think its doable specially in 1/72 scale
  5. Hi there I was chatting with another modeller fellow and we looking at this kit https://www.scalemates.com/kits/mpc-1-4310-mirage-f1c--547776 Noticing about the really strange roundels and the lack of basic AMD Mirage F.1 stencils There is a tread on Britmodeller but focus on colors and briefly mention the decals Also there was a very old microscale decal set (that btw also include those weird roundels https://picclick.co.uk/MICROSCALE-72-615-Free-Kuwaiti-A-4KU-Mirage-F1CK-Saudi-F-15C-Tornado1-72-163017632306.html As there are no mayor source of information we look at goole and unable to find any photo with roundels on the fuselage nor the wings otherwise only flag fin flash Related treads (regarding Free Kuwait - Kuwait Air Force) takes us to and here it includes this king and found some photos that show no roundels on upper or down side of the wings https://www.dstorm.eu/pages/en/kuwait/skyhawk.html So I'm at here any help Regrds Armando
  6. But only the right side of that same kit include the gun exhaust engraving, making back to other versions is a bit triccky
  7. Well Friends I wonder to ask about the France Air force roundels, as I have some kits on the bench some old Heller releases that their roundel (off of register in most of them) have a yellow exterior circle band: that's happend with AMD Mirage F.1BC, Mirage F.1CR Mirage F.1CT, as well in Mirage 2000C and N (before I forgot that happen also in Mirage IIIE kits) For other part Skyhart decals of Mirage 2000 not include them all in 1/72 scale In Italeri and Modelsvit Mirage 2000 French roundels don't include that yellow ring Any advice is welcome in the search of accuracy Regards Armando
  8. Hi here If you got the Zvesda C-130 Hercules maybe some of this items can be of your interest https://aztecmodels.com/ Regards Armando
  9. Andre BTW its also included on Heller Mirage F.1 CR and CT (this one also included the big Iraki fuel tank) both kits provide with 2 Phimats Regards Armando
  10. Hi there After reading this tread I went to my stach to look for a started old Heller kit and an unstarted Airfix kit; to me it look like a clone of the Heller kit but there are some differences as on the Heller kit (that used to have decals that include French and German aircraft) there was 2 dfferent noses one pointed for the German and one more round blunt if you can say but no strakes for that French version My Heller Alpha jet came in this box https://www.scalemates.com/kits/heller-80399-patrouille-france--167958 And the Airfix was this box https://www.scalemates.com/kits/usairfix-4012-alpha-jet--167978 In my case my plan is to do a Portugese AF sample Regards Armando
  11. OK Giorgio Checking at the stash reveled both Hasegawa MiG-23 (already assembled paint pending) and MiG-27 (only back fuselage assembled) and a very old Gironixix Production LTD MiG-23BN conversion for Hasegawa (basically MiG-23 cannon and intake planes resin copied) all Hasegawa weapons are trash decals are pretty much basic no stencils (if you got this kits in the 70 and 80 they just fine but not now) https://www.scalemates.com/kits/hasegawa-02711-mig-23s-flogger-b--192014 https://www.scalemates.com/kits/hasegawa-02711-mig-23s-flogger-b--192014 I also found the Art Model MiG-27 (the best of the bunch) and Zvesda MiG-27 (lots of parts including some MiG-23 parts like the nose cone, missiles and racks, some bombs) both have about the same lenght and look fine but comparing with the Hasegawa well this one is a small duck and the other two are like pelicans my guess they are short for about 4-5 cm on lenght in 1/72 scale The Zvesda kits are boxed by Italeri those shares the same mould https://www.scalemates.com/kits/art-model-am7214-mig-27k-flogger-j2--209594 https://www.scalemates.com/kits/italeri-057-mig-23ml-flogger--128233 This one include both tails large MF and short ML https://www.scalemates.com/kits/italeri-075-mig-27m--128235 KP MiG-23ML and MiG-23BN (this one include 2 front canopies one for fighter ML and one for the BN) are nice kits but other than missile or bomb racks no weapons included very nice decals for other part https://www.scalemates.com/kits/kovozavody-prost-jov-kpm0069-mikojan-gurjevi-mig-23ml--992705 https://www.scalemates.com/kits/kovozavody-prost-jov-kpm0096-mig-23bn-international--1135765 Here a good comment both afterburners are about the same size KP with Art Models (they are for other part different moulds, not the same) the Trainer version or MiG-23UB is very nice be careful with the resin parts as they are very sharp and brittle, no weapons but about 12 different decals sets https://www.scalemates.com/kits/art-model-am7210-mig-23ub-flogger-c--142133 Thats it Btw best weapons are Advanced Modeling and Reskit Regards Armando
  12. Hi there Well let me say that after reading the start of this tread I went to my stash and I did some comparation of the Hasegawa, the Italeri/Zvesda, Model Art and KP (the MiG-23BN) all in wonderful 1/72 scale I found that the Hasegawa ir short of about 1.5- 2.0 mts so then a little more than 1.5 cm, weapons are aweful https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10000597 The Italeri/Zvesda have very nice weapons and one thing that isn't there is a ECM pod related to SEAD warfare (this one include lots of weapons for at least 3-4 models) https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10449108 For other part Model Art include only rocket pods and some bombs (but what include is lot of decal options) and the KP don't include weapons https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10529467 Regards Armando
  13. Hi Exdraken There was a thing thats it's really interesting those Daggers use imperial or inches bolts nuts and fittings and those French used milimetric ones There was a special fixures on the fuel tanks because of that and also a small trouble during the Falklands war because that
  14. Hi there One thing is that the Argentinians were in a very unique position as they had Mirage IIICs, Mirage IIIE and IAI Dagger they found that still the Mirage IIIC was the most manoubrable of them all but the Daggers had more fuel and last longer in dogfights Regards Armando
  15. But they were in a very bad state, they need about 2 years to build up after almost completely rebuilt at Rio IV Aircraft Depot Regards
  16. After the 1982 Falklands war but before 1984 thats what Argentians historians mention to me, from 1984 they started to upgrade with fir noses on the Daggers
  17. BTW LODELA from Mexico is no longer in operations since late 80s
  18. 1000 Thanks Giorgio I was thinking the other day to fall with KP L-159 (so I'm going to avoid it) and for other part lots of Heller moulds have appear sudently from Mistercraft . Personally I don't know or care about the relationship between KP and Mastercraft but I'll keep my own Heller Alpha jet on the assembly line Regards
  19. Hi Giampiero Then you have to look for other or better decals here its is what Aztec Models offer https://aztecmodels.com/collections/decals/products/d-063-war-for-the-falklands-malvinas-2 https://aztecmodels.com/collections/decals/products/d48-048-war-for-the-falklands Also please notice that for Dassault Mirage IIIEA the first 12 samples only use the Matra 530 AAM from 13 to 19 used also Matra Magic 550 IAM Regards Armando
  20. Hi Giampiero I say look at the intakes they are in different position related to the canopy also othere kind of engine Regards Armando
  21. Hi Martin After reading this I just look at my Aerofax Minigraph 17 - Dassault Mirage F1 book and in some part says that the diference between the F.1C and the F.1C-200 was a 10 cm plug so that's less than a 1 mm in 1/72 scale In the Hasegawa kit the difference is the use of the IFR Prove and in Special Hobby kits there is no diference in lenght for the nose radome as there is 2 right sides one with IFR and one without it and only 1 left side Regards Armando
  22. Hi there Well the other day I found this at Hannants and was included on my latest order to them https://blackdog-model.com/a72058-1-72-aqm-34-frebeb-1/ To be honest I can't find too much about their operations over Vietnam or SEA Some years ago I saw this kit with a fellow modeller and the art its very interesting https://www.scalemates.com/es/kits/dragon-2513-jian-ji5--123712 There were also some kits that included this early RPV Ryan AGM Firebee https://www.scalemates.com/es/kits/italeri-148-lockheed-hercules-with-4-drones-dc-130-director--122566 From Italeri in wonderful 1/72 scale. I remmember got one of those RPV but sadly was lost during the Big Models Burnout of 2012 (Yeahhhh you got it right, that was the year of my divorce) Later a brief search at Google show this wonderful webpage https://robdebie.home.xs4all.nl/aqm34/models.htm Anyway other than some annotations from Osprey Combat MiG-17/MiG-19 and MiG-21 in Vietnam Units Any comment well appreciated Regards Armando
  23. Hey Zorglub Only possible solution is to order a couple of extra Su-22 M4 in glorious and fantastic 1/72 scale and start looking for some guy around in order that he do those decals Regards Armando
