  1. Just send me an email; perhaps I can help you with obtaining the Fairchild kit... Mika

  3. Unfortunately LF got the order of the red and blue in a wrong way in the King's Flight G-ABBS scheme, they should be opposite. Oxford made the same mistake with their diecast model. Yes, the existing b/w photos show a darker lower half of the fuselage and lighter upper half, giving easily a false association of blue lower and red upper colours. This is a common mistake for people who are not familiar how the colours behave on ortho- and panchromatic b/w films. On ortho films the red colour shows like black and blue colour a bit (or more) lighter. G-ABBS (as well as G-ABFV and G-ABNN) had blue upper half and red lower half of the fuselage, and the vertical tail was blue with a red center bar. Fortunately this does not affect on the decals of that scheme. Regards, Mika
  4. Not the Gipsy engine with the Pobjoy kit, that will be a separate project. But at first we have to finish the Pobjoy version. Regards, Mika
  5. Thanks for the info. I need to be in touch with that museum and ask for some pix of the original plane. I'll probably release also these decals if I can get some provements. Mika
  6. About the EC-AAT decals; I have not managed to find any pix about the original plane. That plane in Madrid museum is actually EC-HAM repainted to look like the original EC-AAT. Just wondering how correct the current markings are... Regards, Mika
  7. ... including both HP42W and 42E markings... Mika
  8. Yes, my intent is to release the full 1/144 version of the current HP42 set, probably in March. Regards, Mika
  9. I have not planned Scylla/Syrinx decals yet. Perhaps I'll make them during this spring. The window chrome vinyl frames are a bit problematic, as I need the kit (fuselage halves) for gettingthe frames to fit it. Cheers, Mika
  10. Hello! Please, check these images: https://www.gettyimages.fi/detail/uutiskuva/imperial-airways-plane-scylla-1938-biplane-biplane-scylla-in-uutiskuva/89858419?adppopup=true https://www.gettyimages.fi/detail/uutiskuva/scylla-an-imperial-airways-airliner-at-croydon-airport-uutiskuva/2667229?adppopup=true https://www.gettyimages.fi/detail/uutiskuva/passengers-at-croydon-airport-boarding-the-handley-page-uutiskuva/3423186 https://www.gettyimages.fi/detail/uutiskuva/the-duke-and-duchess-of-york-alight-from-an-imperial-airways-uutiskuva/3351026?adppopup=true https://www.gettyimages.fi/detail/uutiskuva/the-handley-page-hp42-was-the-most-famous-imperial-airways-uutiskuva/90780497?adppopup=true https://www.gettyimages.fi/detail/uutiskuva/giant-air-liner-heratius-of-imperial-airways-at-croydon-uutiskuva/3066456?adppopup=true I am not definitely sure about the Scylla/Syrinx colours, but in my opinion the HP.42 planes had dark blue markings. 11. Hi again, I visited just the Finnish Post's site to find that now it is again possible to send the decals to NZ and Australia. Malc,; the 1/72 scale decals are already available: https://www.arcticdecals.com/products.html?id=21443/982606 Mika
  12. Hi David, Not a problem with the 1/144 scale Heracles decals, I have them, although not added into my website. But there is a nasty problem; I am not able to send decals straight to NZ because of the current Covid situation. It is the same whith shipments to Australia; I had to send a letter at first to a person living in the UK, who then mailed it to Australia. Just send me an email to arcticdecals[AT]gmail.com . Regards, Mika Arctic Decals
  13. > And at some point I'm going to need to adapt Lima November's otherwise lovely decals. >The typography on the real aircraft included a quite distinctive letter "N", which isn't reproduced by the decals (at right). When I made these decals for Lima November twelve years ago those photos at Norsk Luftfartsmuseum were not available then. I have now made the corrections based on this newer material. Just contact me via email (arcticdecalsATgmail.com) and I'll send you corrected decals. regards, Mika Arctic Decals
