  1. Beautifully done. I checked out your build article--what a load of work to get such a great look. FYI, the scoop under fuselage near the center of the wing is a fresh air intake for the rear cockpit and what appears to be a pitot tube coming from the leading edge of the left wing is a sensor for the angle of attack system.
  2. Squibby, Have you considered Deluxe Materials Glue "n" Glaze for the formation light lenses? Model railway hobbyists use it for making windows and light lenses. I'm in the process of using it to make position light lenses for my Czech Models T-34C--I've done some practice on sprue and it seems to work quite nicely. Robert
  3. Bonjour Patrice, I'd like to join the GB. I just got a Tamiya 1/32 P-51D that I plan to build in D-Day configuration. I'm not sure which particular aircraft yet. A question--what does the ST in STGB mean? Thanks. Robert
  4. Apparently it was scrapped at some point. The last time I saw it was in 1977.
  5. Reminds me of another, similar size, cargo aircraft--the Lockheed R6V Constitution. I remember seeing one of the two built sitting looking decrepit at Opa Locka Airport (KOPF) in Miami, Florida in the mid-1970's. Apparently only two were ever built, planned to be used by Pan Am and the U.S. Navy. It would make an interesting kit. Here's a link with photos: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lockheed_R6V_Constitution
  6. Thanks for the video. Left off a few planes there myself many years ago.
  7. Thanks for all the suggestions on Alclad colors. I think I'll buy a few different aluminum shades and try them out.
  8. I'm getting ready to start building my F-86F, and I'm thinking that I'll use Alcad II aluminum for the skin--any suggestions on which is more appropriate, their Aluminum or Airframe Aluminum or ? Thanks.
  9. Don't forget respiratory protection. I use a 3M 07193 Dual Cartridge Respirator Assembly that I purchased from Amazon. I use it no matter what I'm spraying, even acrylics can cause lung damage.
  10. Good Evening Patrice, We had a great time in Normandy--fantastic food and wine, very friendly people, beautiful scenery. We also were able to take an all-day tour of many of the D-Day sites and museums. Regards Robert
  11. Merci, TEMPESTMK5. In 1989 I participated in a Falcon operators conference in your beautiful part of the world (in Deauville). Robert
  12. I'm in. I've had my Mach 2 kit of the Falcon 20 sitting for a few years. I plan to build the U.S. Coast Guard HU-25A Guardian version (I've got a couple thousand hours pilot time in them) and always wanted to build the model.
