  1. DAK Kubelwagen 1943 Tunisia (1/35 Tamiya) The WIP is here: This was a fun kit to build and went together like a dream
  2. And we have news..... The basic painting is done. I dry brushed gunmetal on as well, as these vehicles got quite the sandblasting when the wind blew. Decals were put on as well. The next step is to create a dust effect and then cover it. The side view The front, I bent the horn, as that is something that would happen on a used vehicle. The rear... I will weather it more. Top view showing the interior. Comments and critiques welcome
  3. Work has progressed. The wheels were given a scratched black look, which later with a wash will simulate the sand blasting effect. The dash, I know it doesn't look very neat, but I will smarten it up later.
  4. And updates..... The interior got some work. The floor at the back was dirtied and worn down, which would happen due to all the boots scuffing it. The balloon tyres used in the desert. Doors attached. Now to paint the inside. Looking like a Kubel now.... Phir milenge
  5. Update time. The upper body has been started on. The chassis. The fit is typical Tamiya, and the parts are crisply molded.
  6. Hi all. I had Tamiya's 1/35 DAK Kubelwagen, and currently between major projects, so I decided to make it. The box top. The sprues. Looking forward to making this.
  7. Nice one. I did this one some time back with the Sd. Kfz 222. Yours already looks much better than mine
  8. Wow. Nice and subtle. You definitely shouldn't have trouble
  9. I think it's time you went into other home appliances as well. After all the number 2 of the house (ahem ahem) might get suspicious at the number of vacuum cleaners being ordered while the same wheezy old one is being used.
  10. Nice work. I am sure the weathering will be great too
  11. Good to see you back @Gorby. I am sure that whatever ills plagued you took one peek at what was inside your cranium (or lack thereof) and took to their heels, and didn't look back. What with your sanity being in a caravan near Slough and you scratching mad scientist ideas. The whopper looks great and worthy of being made by you. I am waiting for your next project.
  12. Wow. That is miles beyond my effort with the airfix m10. Looks a smasher
  13. Mind if I follow, Israeli stuff is interesting.
  14. Great work. A superb example of a well used (and well ridden) tank. Crack on
  15. Some troops wore Pattis (puttees), and trousers while some wore pattis and shorts (Gurkhas etc). The figures in the HaT set are generic for Dogras, Jat etc. Hornet heads are 1/35, so a bit bigheaded (sorry couldn't resist). ICM's smallest figures are 1/48, so worth considering. Masterbox is a bit too big (smallest is 1/35) Thanks a lot all you guys for the help
  16. Thanks a ton for the tip @Stew Dapple, Hannants does ship to India.
  17. It is the right scale, thanks a ton. However, upon going to their site, they don't list India as a country they ship to. However, if no one ships direct, then maybe I can ask one of my relatives to get it and send it over.
  18. Hello all, I am planning a project depicting Indian soldiers in the trenches of France in the First World War. However, the problem is that I haven't really been able to find anywhere that sells these figures and ships to India. Help please
  19. Looks great. I did the same model, but modified it to look like it served in Chechnya. You are many miles ahead of me. Great work, and not Idi Nahui
  20. This is an interesting topic. Do you mind if I follow along, since anything Indian is always interesting to me
  21. What @Das Abteilung said... (I know nothing, but this is a trick to make it look like I know something) Interesting choice. 1 seat please (are dogs counted)
