  1. Alistair, A lovely build of this little cracker of a kit. I will surely build more of these and this is definitely inspiration! Cheers, Roger
  2. Alistair, Cracking work on a lovely little kit! I'm almost ready to start my own DAF adventure... Cheers Roger
  3. Alistair, Nice work - never mind the primer, the bread bin was out! 🤣 Cheers, Roger
  4. Alistair, Nice to see this on the go again (and the breadbin). My 1:72 version is looming large so will look forward to seeing what colour scheme you select! Cheers, Roger
  5. Thanks Colin. I love Flory washes - they have never yet failed me!
  6. Hi All, A little progress on the Barracuda, on a day where I had a legitimate work use for my airbrush (spraying some stencils on a prototype). As I had the kit out, I chucked a black Flory wash down: And removed it again: There's actually a nice level of surface detail on this kit. Then flat coats were applied: I am not displeased with the overall effect. I'll let that settle down and remove the masking tomorrow. We're due a heat wave over the weekend so I shall probably get some decent bench time in! Thanks for looking, Roger
  7. Nice work James - thanks for the mention! Maybe I should patent the idea 🤣
  8. Thanks very much James! Thanks Adrian - not quite smooth sailing but hopefully the result will be adequate!
  9. Lovely work Andrés. I am soon to build this kit and will be very happy if it is half as nice as yours!
  10. Wonder no longer Ozzy - here's the complete set:
  11. David, Making good progress - will be interested to see how the figures turn out! Cheers, Roger
  12. Alistair, I clearly missed some progress here - humble apologies! Looking good and great save on the canopy, Cheers, Roger
  13. Alistair, Coming along nicely! I seem to remember a little trouble aligning the lower nacelle, but that could have been my own hamfistedness, Cheers, Roger
  14. Hi Pat, I built P7116 from the Trumpeter kit a couple of years ago. Slightly off topic, but there are a few... inconsistencies, shall we say! If you are of a mind to correct them hopefully this thread may be of some use: Good luck with your build whichever scheme you choose, and apologies for the thread drift, Cheers, Roger
  15. Cheers Steve - looks like there's a few in our Club!
  16. Simon, Coming along nicely - that's an impressive gloss finish you have achieved, Cheers, Roger
  17. Thanks very much David Cheers Alistair - a very civilised day it was!
  18. Thanks Chris - a lovely day all round, and no runs so far! Thanks CC - roo is very edible and similar to venison. I saw the bomb and have a plan... Cheers GB - it seems that dive bombing was their principal role...
  19. I look forward to seeing it take shape!
  20. Go on - you know you want to! 🤣
  21. Thanks Jason! It's usual SH stuff - vague fit & engineering, but for all that it builds up pretty well, Cheers, Roger
  22. Hi All, Another brief update. I managed to get the decals down this morning, along with a second gloss coat: That will be all for the day as we're off to a family barbecue, but it'll have a few days to settle down! Thanks for looking, Roger
