  1. Thanks Alan it’s an oldie and very dated compared to a modern kit but still builds up nicely.
  2. Swing arm and shock only additions are the transfer to the shock body that isn’t included in the kit
  3. Vast improvement over the old tamiya kit of which I’ve made quite a few. that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for improvement. was going to do a side by side build with the tamiya but decided against and I’ll only use the tamiya kits to build specials one of which I’ve already posted. I’ll probably use the tamiya to model my own very special real Lc. This is also the first real wip I’ve done. tank is a vast improvement includes the underside head barrels and intake. Head gloss black, barrels semi Matt black/metallic and bolts painted in ral6006 to simulate the olive passivate green of the original
  4. I’ve built a few pr and fr spits including the sword one a nice kit. pavla do some nice bits to make early PR’s as well.
  5. Thanks very much for the comments apart from the ‘rigging’ the biggest pains are using enough weight to counter balance the bridge and I had to reinforce the A frame on the bridge as it wasn’t strong enough to take the weight without breaking.
  6. Thank you, I steer away from ever rigging a plane but actually I think I may have to give it a go. I’m actually impressed with the kit considering it’s 40yrs old.
  7. Thanks, when you compare it to a std 75mm it is huge
  8. Genuinely outstanding. It almost looks like a colourised pic of a real scene, actually not almost it does.
  9. Just pulled my finger out to finish lots of my kits I’ve still got 10 small armour kits at 75% finished and probably 20 ww2 aircraft at similar level of finish. So I’ll be posting lots more in the next few months I’ve vowed to myself to not start anything new. 😁
  10. Thanks both, yes it’s the 1/76th. I’d change the finish on a few things, primarily how I positioned the small metal hooks I made to mount the cable really could be at 90 degrees.
  11. Again mainly otb Dan Taylor decals on one not quite finished but enough for me.
  12. Matchbox kit with couple of milicast accessories and fine thread and aerials. knowing what I know now I’d do the threads slightly differently and I’d add extra weight I put in more than the recommended amount still only just enough.
  13. Decided to finish more of my small scale armour. Done this one today. Std bar milicast accessories, aerials and mantlet cover. Dan Taylor decals and tamiya powders.

    Interesting Spots

Just read this thread, so incredibly moving. Thanks for posting these memorials.
  15. Thanks all for the comments I’m going to post more of the same later few Churchills, crusader and some later ww2 armour. 👍
  16. Again thanks for the comments. I’ve a whole host of stuff I need to complete this has helped with my modelling mojo👍
  17. That is stunning a beautiful build. What I really like is the cowling rings and exhausts you’d really struggle to tell that it is a kit and not the real thing .
  18. I’m a sucker for a phantom and that is fabulous
  19. Thanks very much I’ve loads more I need to post up that I’ve done. They help keep me sane and always remind me of why I started modelling in the first place as a 6 yr what ld kid.
  20. It’s easy to do, I struggled to see what pics I’d loaded. Thanks for the lovely comment 👍
  21. There are actually 3 air craft 👍thanks
  22. Not quite finished but you’d never know 👍. Thanks
