  1. Just be aware: if you are going to order from this company there seem to be problems with the SSL/TLS certificate and it is very likely that you will be submitting your personal details over an insecure connection.
  2. Very nice. Subtle weathering too. Yours Aye Andy
  3. Hi Alan, Thanks for that. The suggestion of B6 confirms my own additional research on RN WW II colours in the meantime. Thanks for taking the time to reply. Yours Aye Andy
  4. Just purchased the Airfix model of HMS Belfast and I have run up against a bit of confusion during my initial research on the colours used in the camo scheme. The Airfix kit presents the colours thus: Airfix Light Grey Dark Grey Dark Blue Grey Light Blue Where as WEM list them as: As depicted in Airfix 1/600 kit Admiralty Disruptive Pattern Camouflage, using the following on the Vertical surfaces: AP 507A Admiralty Dark Grey (RN 01); AP 507C Admiralty Light Grey (RN 03); MS.4 Warm Light Grey (RN 12); B.5 Dark Blue-Grey (RN 07); The difference of course being in the light blue. All the current photos of HMS Belfast show the colour as being light blue. Who is right? On a related note, Airfix (somewhat unhelpfully) don't provide a proper port view of the ship as a painting guide and also somewhat surprisingly there seems to be very little reference material around for such a famous ship. Other than "The Anatomy of The Ship" series which doesn't have camo plans, is anybody able to point me in the direction of some decent reference material? TIA
  5. I might try my local fire station to see if they have got any that were condemned in a fire inspection (although the H&S weenies might decide that it's too much of a risk to let you have even one of those). Failing that I would try Ebay. Even getting a new one and emptying it shouldn't be too expensive. As for connectors I would guess that they might use BSP (British Standard Pipe) threads so getting valves and the like should be fairly straight forward. Yours Aye Andy
  6. I was going to suggest a fire extinguisher too but I see that Mark has beaten me to it. I think that would be the way to go as it will already have been pressure tested to a much higher pressure than you will be running it at for airbrush work. Yours Aye Andy
  7. Bit more progress mid-morning. More sub-assembly gluing and dry fitting for major assembly. The parts need cleaning up a bit at the seams but the assembly is pretty straightforward. This is probably about as far as I can go without getting the paint out now. Yours Aye Andy
  8. Hi Tim, Thanks for the photo; just the job. No progress last night as I felt too knackered. Hopefully more over the weekend. Regards Andy
