  1. So have been working on the engine first. Did few parts, adding wires now
  2. Hey all, at the moment I am building P51D, also by eduard, but somehow just lost the motivation for it after applying decals (not because the kit is crap, kit is the most amazing you can find in the scale, but just like that, sometimes happens). So decided to build a small diorama (never did one.). Well you need a plane for diorama first So Eduard Tempest let it be: Engine and gun bays arrived today together with some barrels from Tamiya which I believe will look nice: The actual kit should arrive tomorrow, so hopefully and give it a start on Sunday Ordered some valejjo paints also
  3. Hey all, progress quite slow, got busy with work and getting ready for holidays. But still managed to do bits and pieces:
  4. Hey all! Many thanks for your comments and suggestions about landing gear and shiny propeller! To be fair, I wanted to show my banana model and placed bf109 just for scale. Quite sad to see that everyone bangs on about Bf109 and just couple of people noticed the banana. :DDDDDD It is a lovely Tesco 1/1 scale Banana Tropical version with photo etched parts from Eduard and resin from Aires :DDDDDDDDDD
  5. Many thanks! Thank you! To be honest the chipped insignia is the way it came out of the box by Eduard. At start I though it is damaged decal, but that's actually the scheme :DDDD I just went out of the scheme and painted wing tips in white - it looks sexier. It is Eduard kit in 1/48, I added tags, but yeah, topic title would be more visible :DDD To be honest I consider this to be amazing and detailed kit that is easy to work on rather then my skills. It is only black wash, oil paints (black, white and brown), black pigment, silver paint for chipping. That's it. I just recently bought airbrush and that is my 3rd model only with airbrush (add 3 more brush painted), so cannot say that I am well skilled :DDD
  6. Many thanks! Personally, this is the sexiest colour set that BF109 can have :DDD Thanks, mate! Yeah, I was also slightly concerned about undercarriage. But these are placed just the way it fits. Considering Eduard fit - I kind of trust this should be the way. If not - I am not that much about accuracy of ww2, to me it is more about the joy you get building it and the learning curve from facts to skills you gain So to myself - this kind of Ok :DDDD Many thanks!!!!!
  7. Hello all, Finished bits and pieces yesterday and had a good play with my camera. Comments and suggestions are very welcome: BANANA FOR SCALE: Many thanks!!!
  8. Shiny wheels bay First time using Alclad II paints. Looks really impressive I would say.
  9. I was a huge fan of Airfix, as it is a brand that brought me into modelling so will always pay my respect to them. However Eduard brought p51 to the next level. The only drawback, in my opinion: engine cowling, tops of the back of the fuselage could be made as separate parts (like Meng did, Airfix I think have engine cowling separately, correct me if I am wrong) and not traditional two sides fuselage, so any seem lines could be avoided. It is 2019, technology allows it + sides of spues most of the items have some details lost, and Eduard engine cowling needs rivets to be redone already from the box. Apart from that, I can strongly say it is the best, most detailed kit of p51d in the scale It gives real pleasure to build - and it is the most important factor to any kit in my opinion
  10. Hey, So I started this amazing kit and finished the cockpit. Pictures of the result: Many thanks!
