I don't think I'm the only one who thought that bridge was much bigger than it is. Incredible detailing.
David
Thank you kindly.

Can you put something in the photos, so as to give us all a guide to quite how small this ship really is ?
I must say, it does look very good.

Thank you Jon, I will put a coin next to it when I am on here again later.

Gidday Erk, you continue to turn out a beautiful model here. All that PE certainly adds to the appearance of it. Your build here would have been a gold mine of info to me when I did my own conversion of a Hood kit earlier this year. Oh well . . .
Carry on with the good work. Regards, Jeff.
Thank you kindly Jeff.

Evening all - I called on the "Borrowers" to carry on with my tiny PE - more ladders and rails and a few binocular stands.

Evening all, more work continues with the Conning tower fixtures - there are several sections of handrails to go on, but as they are 0.11mm by 1.2mm tall - handling them let alone fitting them is a trial in itself, the PE ladders are childs play by comparison.

Hi All, another slight update - I have added some more levels and bits to the conning tower, and I have added one of my little 28mm figures for scale.

Hi all, so more work has been continuing - I have started work on the base of the conning tower, its a one piece section with lots of sub assemblies fitted to it starting with the PE stairs then a centre fitting, then the side davits and floats also some what I assume are wind breaks, also couple of paravanes were glued in place.
Next job was to fit the flag cases, then another tiny deck building - followed by Two vent units and the Two direction finder masts, oh and a centre mast was glued in place, they still need some clean up to remove a few blemishes from where I cut them from the sprues.
The main assembly is just dry fitted as It will be primed and airbrushed first before I hand paint the floor in Corticene.

Stupendous build of (imo) the crème de la crème, of any navy, of any period. Her name just says it all. Should've been sunk at Jutland, should've sunk off Salerno, not mentioning all the incidents inbetween (15 battle honours!), and then refused to go to the yard for breaking.
I think you've done the Grand Old Lady proud.
David
Thank you kindly David, she sure was a lucky ship - couldn't get over when she was bombed Three in total - one nealy took her radar out, the other missed her torpedo bulge and one went right through her next to her funnel went through one of her engine rooms and clear through her bottom hull - but she still limped into port.
Amazing ship.
