  1. Colleagues, does anyone have photos of the landing gear racks and the landing gear niche? I model the racks in 3D. Thanks!

  3. I will disappoint you, but they are installed correctly. These are SUU-7 containers. Study the matchup. c5e216b2aaf55c45b2403a2bcf58631a by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr
  4. Thank you for your ratings! Very nice! I show photos of parts that were made in 3D. Designed and printed by myself. The decal was used from PrintScale. 5. Many years ago, a good friend of mine gave me this set from Revell... It was a variant of the German F, which I didn't really like. I wanted to assemble an E-type from it ... Time passed, a lantern was lost during the move and this slowed down the assembly of the model... I was gathering my strength to overcome this obstacle. It was necessary to make a form, to press the lantern ... But the moment came when I got a 3D printer and the idea to make a lantern "for an adult" appeared. Make frames, squeeze out the glass and assemble it all, as is done on a larger scale. The work began to boil. After sitting at the computer for several evenings, I designed the shape of the lantern, made test printouts, adjusted the dimensions, again the test, and so the first task was solved from the third time. There was a uniform in his hands. Then, on the basis of it, I designed the frames and made a form for drawing the lantern, taking into account the thickness of the material. After that, the idea came to add air ducts to the model... then the nozzles, then thinking about the armament, the option with the Mk82 bomb suspension and SUU-7 containers was chosen. This option required the design of the TER and MER racks... As a result, the model received improvements and corrections with the help of 3D printing. On the plastic itself, I made small improvements. Slightly modified the cockpit, sawed off the steering wheel and ailerons, rejecting them later. I modified the chassis and rack niches with a stretched gate. Painted with paints Akan 6 series (top) and MrHobbi (bottom). Lac Tamia. Filters, flushing - oil paints. Printscale decals. I really liked them. The thinnest substrate, but at the same time strong. Not a single decal was damaged during application. I thank all those who are not indifferent, who helped with tips and hints during the construction process. 01 by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr 16 by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr 15 by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr 14 by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr 13 by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr 12 by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr 11 by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr 10 by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr 09 by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr 08 by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr 07 by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr 06 by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr 05 by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr 04 by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr 03 by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr 02 by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr
  6. Hello everyone I haven't picked up a Hurricane for a long time)) Got a 3D printer. I'm preparing a model of the motor for printing. We need to solve the problem. I can't find a photo of the lower part of Merlin... Maybe someone can give a photo of the lower part of the motor? Circled the problem area in the photo. Thanks! motor by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr motor-2 by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr
  7. You're right! There are many photos where the frame has a silver color. But there are also photos where the color is not silver. Most likely, there may be both options. I haven't decided for myself yet...
  8. I don't agree with the color of the frame. Here is a photo of a Hurricane that fits the Irish version - judging by the canopy of the lantern. The arrows indicated how the metal tubes (silver) and matte tubes of the frame shine, which are clearly not silver in color. cfb55494b0841b8727363fdf56c92b64 by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr
  9. Thank you for your help! Perhaps I misunderstood the information on the Irish version... The color of the fuselage frame in the photo from the museum is different. There is silver, but there is also "green". Here is an example from the book SAM Modeller. What can you say on this issue? кокпит by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr
  10. Hello, colleagues! It's been a long time since my Hurricane was waiting... So, I abandoned the idea of a soldered frame and made everything out of plastic rods. I re-made the fuselage frame and the engine frame. I equipped the frame with little things - what was in the cockpit, and also added an imitation of the control system - elevator and rudder cables. Pipelines and a platform for radio equipment also appeared on the frame, which is also being manufactured. I glued an additional cutout on the right side - as suggested by colleagues from the British model - the Irish Hurricane should not have this cutout, because it is Mk1. I applied the paint to the inner surface of the port side in the cockpit and behind it. In the cockpit, it is the green color of the Tamiya Cockpit, behind the cockpit is a mixture of Tamiya XF-15 and a little red. Judging by the photo in the book - there was about this color. 11. Wow! Very interesting video! Thanks! You've been a great help!
  12. Thank you all for your help! That's how the work with the model goes. As you can see, much has been done by hand from scratch. I need more help. Photos of the radio station are required. Maybe someone has such information? Thanks!
  13. Thanks! Good construction site. Is there any more information? Photos and drawings of the prototype?
  14. Hello, colleagues! Help! I need drawings and photos of the cockpit of the Spitfire Mk 1. I want to make a model from a Airfix in 24 scale. Thanks!
  15. if Germany had won, it would have been a complete horror
  16. War is always dirt. There is no neutrality. There is always a place for such circumstances.
  17. Many thanks for your help! You have given a volume of information that answers many questions. Super!
  18. Your information is very useful! Thanks! I didn't understand anything about the windshield. Why is this so unusual? Is there a photo where you can see this big glass? The hatch in the side will be restored. You're right! The photo shows that it is missing. I will make the propeller again. I will use the photo for this work. You know the ARK set very well. This is impressive!
  19. Thank you so much for the information! I have these decals. I hope they are correct. The prototype photo is only black and white... IMG_20201207_200329 by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr imageproxy2 by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr
  20. Thanks! I have Irish decals from the Italeri set. But there is a question about the color scheme. Italeri indicates the top of the plane is green and brown, but there is information that they were not brown, but gray. So I'm looking for exact colors.
  21. Hello everybody! Two years ago, I started making Hurricane from ARK-models. ark-models-ark48024-istrebitel-hawker-hurricane-sovetskie-vvs-148 by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr The model is not of high quality, so I decided to thoroughly redo it. I want to make this plane in the version of the Irish air force. I decided to make a model with open hatches on the fuselage. I don't use the aftermarket. Everything is done manually. From the wire soldered the fuselage truss. The dashboard is homemade. From plastic and wire I make the cockpit filling. The motor is made of a piece of plastic. If someone has a photo of Irish hurricanes-please help! 11 by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr 3 by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr 2 by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr 002 by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr 8 by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr 12 by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr 16 by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr 15 by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr 14 by Andrew Zhi, on Flickr
