shame about it, that cockpit looks stunning... (and shame about that last picture of the jet without camo😉) you win some, you lose some. -

Airfix Fairey Swordfish 1/72 - My first plane!
Johnny Tip replied to Bill1974's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
Biplanes are like that... (I had wondered while looking at the 1st pic - something felt off) the _really_ funny part lies still ahead: rigging. But if I could do it, so can you. (dang, must remember to post my Albatros) -

Johnny Tip replied to James G's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
My bad🤦🏼♂️ got it mixed up while seeing something about the E here... One look at your last pics should've reminded me it's a "pre-E"... sorry. -
What model has nobody kitted that you REALLY want to see?
Johnny Tip replied to Alan P's topic in Aviation Chat
I think it's not _that_ long ago that Revell did it (however old the kit might be, I didn't buy) -

Johnny Tip replied to James G's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
I think I have a complete set of F/A-18E stencils from Revell's boxing... -
One billboard outside Dayton, OH. Something completely different, and still a P -I mean, F-47; I like it.

Royal Aircraft Factory SE.5a B139, Eduard 1/48
Johnny Tip replied to Bughunter's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
I've read somewhere that B139 was an aircraft that was used by both No. 111 and No. 145 squadron as they were based at the same airfield. Does anyone know if that is correct? -
Not an MH-60? that's rather unique😂

But that way the attackers were forced to queue... less opportunity to shield yourself or your mate from those spears that get thrown at you by directors. Just my two whatever-they-spend-in-Rohan's.

maybe there's a diorama in there with a pilot that's getting laughed at by his fellows while they point at the flaps...

1/48 Hawker Hurricane Mk I Airfix
Johnny Tip replied to Wuger91's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
How did I miss this? A Hurricane, and of No. 145 squadron? Are those markings by chance or by choice? -
[Figure] 1/24 Strange Company, Irene
Johnny Tip replied to Yg Models's topic in Figure Ready for Inspection
somehow I was expecting a Delta Operator, US Army Ranger or 160th SOAR pilot😂 Nice work! -
Airfix Hawker Hurricane Mk.1 - 1:24 Scale
Johnny Tip replied to Bodmin's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
exactly. I built the merlin about two years ago, and nothing more. (even built a stand for it to be tended by three workers of the opposite sex) We modellers have all the time in the world. -
My God Fairfax! It's really been a long while since you rode France's streets with your chum Carstairs, he on a girls' bicycle, and you both dressed as onion sellers! Definitely must visit the Goodwood fun someday.
